Psalmi 26

VULGATADOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Psalmus David, priusquam liniretur. Dominus illuminatio mea et salus mea : quem timebo ?
Dominus protector vitæ meæ :
a quo trepidabo ?
1 Unto the end, a psalm for David. Judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in my innocence: and I have put my trust in the Lord, and shall not be weakened.
2 Dum appropiant super me nocentes ut edant carnes meas,
qui tribulant me inimici mei,
ipsi infirmati sunt et ceciderunt.
2 Prove me, O Lord, and try me; burn my reins and my heart.
3 Si consistant adversum me castra, non timebit cor meum ;
si exsurgat adversum me prælium, in hoc ego sperabo.
3 For thy mercy is before my eyes; and I am well pleased with thy truth.
4 Unam petii a Domino, hanc requiram,
ut inhabitem in domo Domini omnibus diebus vitæ meæ ;
ut videam voluptatem Domini, et visitem templum ejus.
4 I have not sat with the council of vanity: neither will I go in with the doers of unjust things.
5 Quoniam abscondit me in tabernaculo suo ;
in die malorum protexit me in abscondito tabernaculi sui.
5 I have hated the assembly of the malignant; and with the wicked I will not sit.
6 In petra exaltavit me,
et nunc exaltavit caput meum super inimicos meos.
Circuivi, et immolavi in tabernaculo ejus hostiam vociferationis ;
cantabo, et psalmum dicam Domino.
6 I will wash my hands among the innocent; and will compass thy altar, O Lord:
7 Exaudi, Domine, vocem meam, qua clamavi ad te ;
miserere mei, et exaudi me.
7 That I may hear the voice of thy praise: and tell of all thy wondrous works.
8 Tibi dixit cor meum : Exquisivit te facies mea ;
faciem tuam, Domine, requiram.
8 I have loved, O Lord, the beauty of thy house; and the place where thy glory dwelleth.
9 Ne avertas faciem tuam a me ;
ne declines in ira a servo tuo.
Adjutor meus esto ; ne derelinquas me,
neque despicias me, Deus salutaris meus.
9 Take not away my soul, O God, with the wicked: nor my life with bloody men:
10 Quoniam pater meus et mater mea dereliquerunt me ;
Dominus autem assumpsit me.
10 In whose hands are iniquities: their right hand is filled with gifts.
11 Legem pone mihi, Domine, in via tua,
et dirige me in semitam rectam, propter inimicos meos.
11 But as for me, I have walked in my innocence: redeem me, and have mercy on me.
12 Ne tradideris me in animas tribulantium me,
quoniam insurrexerunt in me testes iniqui,
et mentita est iniquitas sibi.
12 My foot hath stood in the direct way: in the churches I will bless thee, O Lord.
13 Credo videre bona Domini in terra viventium.
14 Expecta Dominum, viriliter age :
et confortetur cor tuum, et sustine Dominum.
