Isaia 27

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 In quel giorno il Signore punirà con la spada dura, grande e forte, il Leviatàn, serpente guizzante, il Leviatàn, serpente tortuoso, e ucciderà il drago che sta nel mare.	1 That day Yahweh wil punish, with his unyielding sword, massive and strong, Leviathan the fleeingserpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he wil kil that dragon that lives in the sea.
2 In quel giorno la vigna sarà deliziosa: cantàtela!	2 That day, sing of the splendid vineyard!
3 Io, il Signore, ne sono il guardiano, a ogni istante la irrigo; per timore che la si danneggi, ne ho cura notte e giorno.	3 I, Yahweh, am its guardian, from time to time I water it; so that no harm befal it, I guard it night andday.
4 Io non sono in collera. Vi fossero rovi e pruni, muoverei loro guerra, li brucerei tutti insieme.	4 -I do not have a wall. Who can reduce me to brambles and thorn-bushes? -I shal make war andtrample on it and at the same time burn it.
5 Oppure si afferri alla mia protezione, faccia la pace con me, con me faccia la pace!	5 Or should they beg for my protection, let them make their peace with me, peace let them make withme.
6 Nei giorni che verranno Giacobbe metterà radici, Israele fiorirà e germoglierà, riempirà il mondo di frutti.	6 In days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel wil bud and blossom and the surface of the world be onevast harvest.
7 Lo ha percosso quanto lo percosse il suo percussore? Oppure fu da lui ucciso come lo furono i suoi uccisori?	7 Has he struck him as he was struck by those who struck him? Has he murdered him as he wasmurdered by those who murdered him?
8 Egli è entrato in contesa con lui, cacciandolo via, respingendolo, lo ha rimosso con il suo soffio impetuoso, come quando tira il vento d’oriente!	8 By expel ing, by excluding him, you have executed a sentence, he has blown him away with a breathas rough as the east wind.
9 Proprio così sarà espiata l’iniquità di Giacobbe e questo sarà tutto il frutto per la rimozione del suo peccato: mentre egli ridurrà tutte le pietre dell’altare come si fa delle pietre che si polverizzano per la calce, non erigeranno più pali sacri né altari per l’incenso.	9 For that is how Jacob's guilt wil be forgiven, such wil be the result of renouncing his sin, when al thealtar-stones have been smashed to pieces like lumps of chalk, when the sacred poles and incense-altars standno longer.
10 La fortezza è divenuta desolata, un luogo spopolato e abbandonato come un deserto; vi pascola il vitello, vi si sdraia e ne bruca gli arbusti.	10 For the fortified city is abandoned now, deserted, forsaken as a desert where calves browse, wherethey lie down, destroying its branches.
11 I suoi rami seccandosi si spezzeranno; le donne verranno ad accendervi il fuoco. Certo, si tratta di un popolo privo d’intelligenza; per questo non ne avrà pietà chi lo ha creato né chi lo ha formato ne avrà compassione.	11 When boughs go dry, they get burnt, women come and use them for firewood. Now, this is a peoplethat does not understand, and so its Maker wil not take pity on it, he who formed it wil not show it any mercy.
12 Avverrà che, in quel giorno, il Signore batterà le spighe, dal Fiume al torrente d’Egitto, e voi sarete raccolti uno a uno, Israeliti.	12 When that day comes, Yahweh wil start his threshing from the course of the River to the Torrent ofEgypt, and you will be gathered one by one, Israelites!
13 Avverrà che in quel giorno suonerà il grande corno, verranno gli sperduti nella terra d’Assiria e i dispersi nella terra d’Egitto. Essi si prostreranno al Signore sul monte santo, a Gerusalemme.	13 When that day comes, the great ram's-horn will be sounded, and those lost in Assyria will come, andthose banished to Egypt, and they wil worship Yahweh on the holy mountain, in Jerusalem.
