Psalmi 3

VULGATA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Psalmus David, cum fugeret a facie Absalom filii sui.	1 A psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom.
2 Domine, quid multiplicati sunt qui tribulant me ? Multi insurgunt adversum me ;	2 How many are my foes, LORD! How many rise against me!
3 multi dicunt animæ meæ : Non est salus ipsi in Deo ejus.	3 How many say of me, "God will not save that one." Selah
4 Tu autem Domine, susceptor meus es, gloria mea, et exaltans caput meum.	4 But you, LORD, are a shield around me; my glory, you keep my head high.
5 Voce mea ad Dominum clamavi ; et exaudivit me de monte sancto suo.	5 Whenever I cried out to the LORD, I was answered from the holy mountain. Selah
6 Ego dormivi, et soporatus sum ; et exsurrexi, quia Dominus suscepit me.	6 Whenever I lay down and slept, the LORD preserved me to rise again.
7 Non timebo millia populi circumdantis me. Exsurge, Domine ; salvum me fac, Deus meus.	7 I do not fear, then, thousands of people arrayed against me on every side.
8 Quoniam tu percussisti omnes adversantes mihi sine causa ; dentes peccatorum contrivisti.	8 Arise, LORD! Save me, my God! You will shatter the jaws of all my foes; you will break the teeth of the wicked.
9 Domini est salus ; et super populum tuum benedictio tua.	9 Safety comes from the LORD! Your blessing for your people! Selah
