1 [Ein Lied. Ein Psalm Asafs.]	1 A song; a psalm of Asaph.
2 Schweig doch nicht, o Gott, bleib nicht still, o Gott, bleib nicht stumm!	2 God, do not be silent; God, be not still and unmoved!
3 Sieh doch, deine Feinde toben; die dich hassen, erheben das Haupt.	3 See how your enemies rage; your foes proudly raise their heads.
4 Gegen dein Volk ersinnen sie listige Pläne und halten Rat gegen die, die sich bei dir bergen.	4 They conspire against your people, plot against those you protect.
5 Sie sagen: «Wir wollen sie ausrotten als Volk; an den Namen Israel soll niemand mehr denken.»	5 They say, "Come, let us wipe out their nation; let Israel's name be mentioned no more!"
6 Ja, sie halten einmütig Rat und schließen ein Bündnis gegen dich:	6 They scheme with one mind, in league against you:

17 Bedecke mit Schmach ihr Gesicht, damit sie, Herr, nach deinem Namen fragen.	17 Cover their faces with shame, till they pay you homage, LORD.
18 Beschämt sollen sie sein und verstört für immer, sollen vor Schande zugrunde gehn.	18 Let them be dismayed and shamed forever; let them perish in disgrace.
19 Sie sollen erkennen, dass du es bist. Herr ist dein Name. Du allein bist der Höchste über der ganzen Erde.	19 Show them you alone are the LORD, the Most High over all the earth.
