Isaia 6

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Nell’anno in cui morì il re Ozia, io vidi il Signore seduto su un trono alto ed elevato; i lembi del suo manto riempivano il tempio.	1 In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne; his train fil ed thesanctuary.
2 Sopra di lui stavano dei serafini; ognuno aveva sei ali: con due si copriva la faccia, con due si copriva i piedi e con due volava.	2 Above him stood seraphs, each one with six wings: two to cover its face, two to cover its feet and two forflying;
3 Proclamavano l’uno all’altro, dicendo: «Santo, santo, santo il Signore degli eserciti! Tutta la terra è piena della sua gloria».	3 and they were shouting these words to each other: Holy, holy, holy is Yahweh Sabaoth. His glory fil s thewhole earth.
4 Vibravano gli stipiti delle porte al risuonare di quella voce, mentre il tempio si riempiva di fumo.	4 The door-posts shook at the sound of their shouting, and the Temple was ful of smoke.
5 E dissi: «Ohimè! Io sono perduto, perché un uomo dalle labbra impure io sono e in mezzo a un popolo dalle labbra impure io abito; eppure i miei occhi hanno visto il re, il Signore degli eserciti».	5 Then I said: 'Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of uncleanlips, and my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh Sabaoth.'
6 Allora uno dei serafini volò verso di me; teneva in mano un carbone ardente che aveva preso con le molle dall’altare.	6 Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding in its hand a live coal which it had taken from the altar witha pair of tongs.
7 Egli mi toccò la bocca e disse: «Ecco, questo ha toccato le tue labbra, perciò è scomparsa la tua colpa e il tuo peccato è espiato».	7 With this it touched my mouth and said: 'Look, this has touched your lips, your guilt has been removedand your sin forgiven.'
8 Poi io udii la voce del Signore che diceva: «Chi manderò e chi andrà per noi?». E io risposi: «Eccomi, manda me!».	8 I then heard the voice of the Lord saying: 'Whom shal I send? Who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here amI, send me.'
9 Egli disse: «Va’ e riferisci a questo popolo: “Ascoltate pure, ma non comprenderete, osservate pure, ma non conoscerete”.	9 He said: 'Go, and say to this people, "Listen and listen, but never understand! Look and look, but neverperceive!"
10 Rendi insensibile il cuore di questo popolo, rendilo duro d’orecchio e acceca i suoi occhi, e non veda con gli occhi né oda con gli orecchi né comprenda con il cuore né si converta in modo da essere guarito».	10 Make this people's heart coarse, make their ears dul , shut their eyes tight, or they wil use their eyes tosee, use their ears to hear, use their heart to understand, and change their ways and be healed.'
11 Io dissi: «Fino a quando, Signore?». Egli rispose: «Fino a quando le città non siano devastate, senza abitanti, le case senza uomini e la campagna resti deserta e desolata».	11 I then said, 'Until when, Lord?' He replied, 'Until towns are in ruins and deserted, houses untenantedand a great desolation reigns in the land,
12 Il Signore scaccerà la gente e grande sarà l’abbandono nella terra.	12 and Yahweh has driven the people away and the country is total y abandoned.
13 Ne rimarrà una decima parte, ma sarà ancora preda della distruzione come una quercia e come un terebinto, di cui alla caduta resta il ceppo: seme santo il suo ceppo.	13 And suppose one-tenth of them are left in it, that wil be stripped again, like the terebinth, like the oak,cut back to the stock; their stock is a holy seed.'
