1 Alleluia. Alef. Beato l'uomo di integra condotta, che cammina nella legge del Signore.	1 Happy those whose way is blameless, who walk by the teaching of the LORD.
2 Beato chi è fedele ai suoi insegnamenti e lo cerca con tutto il cuore.	2 Happy those who observe God's decrees, who seek the LORD with all their heart.
3 Non commette ingiustizie, cammina per le sue vie.	3 They do no wrong; they walk in God's ways.
4 Tu hai dato i tuoi precetti perché siano osservati fedelmente.	4 You have given them the command to keep your precepts with care.
5 Siano diritte le mie vie, nel custodire i tuoi decreti.	5 May my ways be firm in the observance of your laws!
6 Allora non dovrò arrossire se avrò obbedito ai tuoi comandi.	6 Then I will not be ashamed to ponder all your commands.
7 Ti loderò con cuore sincero quando avrò appreso le tue giuste sentenze.	7 I will praise you with sincere heart as I study your just edicts.
8 Voglio osservare i tuoi decreti: non abbandonarmi mai.	8 I will keep your laws; do not leave me all alone.
9 Bet. Come potrà un giovane tenere pura la sua via? Custodendo le tue parole.	9 How can the young walk without fault? Only by keeping your words.
10 Con tutto il cuore ti cerco: non farmi deviare dai tuoi precetti.	10 With all my heart I seek you; do not let me stray from your commands.
11 Conservo nel cuore le tue parole per non offenderti con il peccato.	11 In my heart I treasure your promise, that I may not sin against you.
12 Benedetto sei tu, Signore; mostrami il tuo volere.	12 Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your laws.
13 Con le mie labbra ho enumerato tutti i giudizi della tua bocca.	13 With my lips I recite all the edicts you have spoken.
14 Nel seguire i tuoi ordini è la mia gioia più che in ogni altro bene.	14 I find joy in the way of your decrees more than in all riches.
15 Voglio meditare i tuoi comandamenti, considerare le tue vie.	15 I will ponder your precepts and consider your paths.
16 Nella tua volontà è la mia gioia; mai dimenticherò la tua parola.	16 In your laws I take delight; I will never forget your word.
17 Ghimel. Sii buono con il tuo servo e avrò vita, custodirò la tua parola.	17 Be kind to your servant that I may live, that I may keep your word.
18 Aprimi gli occhi perché io veda le meraviglie della tua legge.	18 Open my eyes to see clearly the wonders of your teachings.
19 Io sono straniero sulla terra, non nascondermi i tuoi comandi.	19 I am a sojourner in the land; do not hide your commands from me.
20 Io mi consumo nel desiderio dei tuoi precetti in ogni tempo.	20 At all times my soul is stirred with longing for your edicts.
21 Tu minacci gli orgogliosi; maledetto chi devìa dai tuoi decreti.	21 With a curse you rebuke the proud who stray from your commands.
22 Allontana da me vergogna e disprezzo, perché ho osservato le tue leggi.	22 Free me from disgrace and contempt, for I observe your decrees.
23 Siedono i potenti, mi calunniano, ma il tuo servo medita i tuoi decreti.	23 Though princes meet and talk against me, your servant studies your laws.

25 Dalet. Io sono prostrato nella polvere; dammi vita secondo la tua parola.	25 I lie prostrate in the dust; give me life in accord with your word.
26 Ti ho manifestato le mie vie e mi hai risposto; insegnami i tuoi voleri.	26 I disclosed my ways and you answered me; teach me your laws.
27 Fammi conoscere la via dei tuoi precetti e mediterò i tuoi prodigi.	27 Make me understand the way of your precepts; I will ponder your wondrous deeds.
28 Io piango nella tristezza; sollevami secondo la tua promessa.	28 I weep in bitter pain; in accord with your word to strengthen me.
29 Tieni lontana da me la via della menzogna, fammi dono della tua legge.	29 Lead me from the way of deceit; favor me with your teaching.
30 Ho scelto la via della giustizia, mi sono proposto i tuoi giudizi.	30 The way of loyalty I have chosen; I have set your edicts before me. <
31 Ho aderito ai tuoi insegnamenti, Signore, che io non resti confuso.	31 I cling to your decrees, LORD; do not let me come to shame.
32 Corro per la via dei tuoi comandamenti, perché hai dilatato il mio cuore.	32 I will run the way of your commands, for you open my docile heart.
33 He. Indicami, Signore, la via dei tuoi decreti e la seguirò sino alla fine.	33 LORD, teach me the way of your laws; I shall observe them with care.
34 Dammi intelligenza, perché io osservi la tua legge e la custodisca con tutto il cuore.	34 Give me insight to observe your teaching, to keep it with all my heart.

38 Con il tuo servo sii fedele alla parola che hai data, perché ti si tema.	38 For your servant fulfill your promise made to those who fear you.
39 Allontana l'insulto che mi sgomenta, poiché i tuoi giudizi sono buoni.	39 Turn away from me the taunts I dread, for your edicts bring good.
40 Ecco, desidero i tuoi comandamenti; per la tua giustizia fammi vivere.	40 See how I long for your precepts; in your justice give me life.
41 Vau. Venga a me, Signore, la tua grazia, la tua salvezza secondo la tua promessa;	41 Let your love come to me, LORD, salvation in accord with your promise.
42 a chi mi insulta darò una risposta, perché ho fiducia nella tua parola.	42 Let me answer my taunters with a word, for I trust in your word.

44 Custodirò la tua legge per sempre, nei secoli, in eterno.	44 I will keep your teachings always, for all time and forever.

49 Zain. Ricorda la promessa fatta al tuo servo, con la quale mi hai dato speranza.	49 Remember your word to your servant by which you give me hope.
50 Questo mi consola nella miseria: la tua parola mi fa vivere.	50 This is my comfort in affliction, your promise that gives me life.
51 I superbi mi insultano aspramente, ma non devìo dalla tua legge.	51 Though the arrogant utterly scorn me, I do not turn from your teaching.
52 Ricordo i tuoi giudizi di un tempo, Signore, e ne sono consolato.	52 When I recite your edicts of old I am comforted, LORD.
53 M'ha preso lo sdegno contro gli empi che abbandonano la tua legge.	53 Rage seizes me because of the wicked; they forsake your teaching.
54 Sono canti per me i tuoi precetti, nella terra del mio pellegrinaggio.	54 Your laws become my songs wherever I make my home.
55 Ricordo il tuo nome lungo la notte e osservo la tua legge, Signore.	55 Even at night I remember your name in observance of your teaching, LORD.

57 Het. La mia sorte, ho detto, Signore, è custodire le tue parole.	57 My portion is the LORD; I promise to keep your words.

61 I lacci degli empi mi hanno avvinto, ma non ho dimenticato la tua legge.	61 Though the snares of the wicked surround me, your teaching I do not forget.
62 Nel cuore della notte mi alzo a renderti lode per i tuoi giusti decreti.	62 At midnight I rise to praise you because your edicts are just.
63 Sono amico di coloro che ti sono fedeli e osservano i tuoi precetti.	63 I am the friend of all who fear you, of all who keep your precepts.
64 Del tuo amore, Signore, è piena la terra; insegnami il tuo volere.	64 The earth, LORD, is filled with your love; teach me your laws.
65 Tet. Hai fatto il bene al tuo servo, Signore, secondo la tua parola.	65 You have treated your servant well, according to your word, O LORD.
66 Insegnami il senno e la saggezza, perché ho fiducia nei tuoi comandamenti.	66 Teach me wisdom and knowledge, for in your commands I trust.

68 Tu sei buono e fai il bene, insegnami i tuoi decreti.	68 You are good and do what is good; teach me your laws.

74 I tuoi fedeli al vedermi avranno gioia, perché ho sperato nella tua parola.	74 Those who fear you rejoice to see me, because I hope in your word.
75 Signore, so che giusti sono i tuoi giudizi e con ragione mi hai umiliato.	75 I know, LORD, that your edicts are just; though you afflict me, you are faithful.
76 Mi consoli la tua grazia, secondo la tua promessa al tuo servo.	76 May your love comfort me in accord with your promise to your servant.
77 Venga su di me la tua misericordia e avrò vita, poiché la tua legge è la mia gioia.	77 Show me compassion that I may live, for your teaching is my delight.
78 Siano confusi i superbi che a torto mi opprimono; io mediterò la tua legge.	78 Shame the proud for oppressing me unjustly, that I may study your precepts.
79 Si volgano a me i tuoi fedeli e quelli che conoscono i tuoi insegnamenti.	79 Let those who fear you turn to me, those who acknowledge your decrees.
80 Sia il mio cuore integro nei tuoi precetti, perché non resti confuso.	80 May I be wholehearted toward your laws, that I may not be put to shame.
81 Caf. Mi consumo nell'attesa della tua salvezza, spero nella tua parola.	81 My soul longs for your salvation; I put my hope in your word.
82 Si consumano i miei occhi dietro la tua promessa, mentre dico: "Quando mi darai conforto?".	82 My eyes long to see your promise. When will you comfort me?
83 Io sono come un otre esposto al fumo, ma non dimentico i tuoi insegnamenti.	83 I am like a wineskin shriveled by smoke, but I have not forgotten your laws.
84 Quanti saranno i giorni del tuo servo? Quando farai giustizia dei miei persecutori?	84 How long can your servant survive? When will your edict doom my foes?

89 Lamed. La tua parola, Signore, è stabile come il cielo.	89 Your word, LORD, stands forever; it is firm as the heavens.
90 La tua fedeltà dura per ogni generazione; hai fondato la terra ed essa è salda.	90 Through all generations your truth endures; fixed to stand firm like the earth.
91 Per tuo decreto tutto sussiste fino ad oggi, perché ogni cosa è al tuo servizio.	91 By your edicts they stand firm to this day, for all things are your servants.
92 Se la tua legge non fosse la mia gioia, sarei perito nella mia miseria.	92 Had your teaching not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
93 Mai dimenticherò i tuoi precetti: per essi mi fai vivere.	93 I will never forget your precepts; through them you give me life.
94 Io sono tuo: salvami, perché ho cercato il tuo volere.	94 I am yours; save me, for I cherish your precepts.
95 Gli empi mi insidiano per rovinarmi, ma io medito i tuoi insegnamenti.	95 The wicked hope to destroy me, but I pay heed to your decrees.
96 Di ogni cosa perfetta ho visto il limite, ma la tua legge non ha confini.	96 I have seen the limits of all perfection, but your command is without bounds.
97 Mem. Quanto amo la tua legge, Signore; tutto il giorno la vado meditando.	97 How I love your teaching, Lord! I study it all day long.

100 Ho più senno degli anziani, perché osservo i tuoi precetti.	100 I have more insight than my elders, because I observe your precepts.
101 Tengo lontano i miei passi da ogni via di male, per custodire la tua parola.	101 I keep my steps from every evil path, that I may obey your word.
102 Non mi allontano dai tuoi giudizi, perché sei tu ad istruirmi.	102 From your edicts I do not turn, for you have taught them to me.
103 Quanto sono dolci al mio palato le tue parole: più del miele per la mia bocca.	103 How sweet to my tongue is your promise, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 Dai tuoi decreti ricevo intelligenza, per questo odio ogni via di menzogna.	104 Through your precepts I gain insight; therefore I hate all false ways.
105 Nun. Lampada per i miei passi è la tua parola, luce sul mio cammino.	105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path.
106 Ho giurato, e lo confermo, di custodire i tuoi precetti di giustizia.	106 I make a solemn vow to keep your just edicts.
107 Sono stanco di soffrire, Signore, dammi vita secondo la tua parola.	107 I am very much afflicted, LORD; give me life in accord with your word.

128 Per questo tengo cari i tuoi precetti e odio ogni via di menzogna.	128 Thus I follow all your precepts; every wrong way I hate.
129 Pe. Meravigliosa è la tua alleanza, per questo le sono fedele.	129 Wonderful are your decrees; therefore I observe them.
130 La tua parola nel rivelarsi illumina, dona saggezza ai semplici.	130 The revelation of your words sheds light, gives understanding to the simple.
131 Apro anelante la bocca, perché desidero i tuoi comandamenti.	131 I sigh with open mouth, yearning for your commands.
132 Volgiti a me e abbi misericordia, tu che sei giusto per chi ama il tuo nome.	132 Turn to me and be gracious, your edict for lovers of your name.
133 Rendi saldi i miei passi secondo la tua parola e su di me non prevalga il male.	133 Steady my feet in accord with your promise; do not let iniquity lead me.

136 Fiumi di lacrime mi scendono dagli occhi, perché non osservano la tua legge.	136 My eyes shed streams of tears because your teaching is not followed.
137 Sade. Tu sei giusto, Signore, e retto nei tuoi giudizi.	137 You are righteous, LORD, and just are your edicts.
138 Con giustizia hai ordinato le tue leggi e con fedeltà grande.	138 You have issued your decrees in justice and in surpassing faithfulness.
139 Mi divora lo zelo della tua casa, perché i miei nemici dimenticano le tue parole.	139 I am consumed with rage, because my foes forget your words.
140 Purissima è la tua parola, il tuo servo la predilige.	140 Your servant loves your promise; it has been proved by fire.
141 Io sono piccolo e disprezzato, ma non trascuro i tuoi precetti.	141 Though belittled and despised, I do not forget your precepts.

157 Sono molti i persecutori che mi assalgono, ma io non abbandono le tue leggi.	157 Though my persecutors and foes are many I do not turn from your decrees.
158 Ho visto i ribelli e ne ho provato ribrezzo, perché non custodiscono la tua parola.	158 I view the faithless with loathing, because they do not heed your promise.
159 Vedi che io amo i tuoi precetti, Signore, secondo la tua grazia dammi vita.	159 See how I love your precepts, LORD; in your kindness give me life.
160 La verità è principio della tua parola, resta per sempre ogni sentenza della tua giustizia.	160 Your every word is enduring; all your just edicts are forever.
161 Sin. I potenti mi perseguitano senza motivo, ma il mio cuore teme le tue parole.	161 Princes persecute me without reason, but my heart reveres only your word.
