1 Psaume de David lorsqu'il fuyait devant Absalom son fils.	1 LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Seigneur, pourquoi ceux qui me persécutent se sont-ils multipliés ? Une multitude s'élève contre moi.	2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 Beaucoup disent à mon âme : Il n'y a pas de salut pour elle dans son Dieu.	3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 Mais vous, Seigneur, vous êtes mon protecteur (soutien) et ma gloire, et vous relevez (élevez) ma tête.	4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 De ma voix j'ai crié vers le Seigneur, et il m'a exaucé du haut de sa montagne sainte.	5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
6 (Pour moi,) Je me suis endormi, et j'ai été assoupi ; et je me suis levé, parce que le Seigneur a été mon soutien (m'a pris sous sa protection).	6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
7 Je ne craindrai point les milliers d'hommes du peuple qui m'environnent. Levez-vous, Seigneur ; sauvez-moi, mon Dieu.	7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Car vous avez frappé tous ceux qui s'opposaient à moi sans raison ; vous avez brisé les dents des pécheurs.	8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
9 Le salut vient du Seigneur ; et c'est vous qui bénissez votre peuple.
