1 Pour la fin, psaume de David.	1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
2 Les cieux racontent la gloire de Dieu, et le firmament publie les œuvres de ses mains.	2 Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge.
3 Le jour proclame ce message au jour, et la nuit en donne connaissance à la nuit.	3 There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard;
4 Ce ne sont point des paroles, ce n'est pas un langage dont la voix ne soit pas entendue.	4 yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,
5 Leur bruit s'est répandu dans toute la terre, et leurs accents jusqu'aux extrémités du monde (confins du globe de la terre).	5 which comes forth like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and like a strong man runs its course with joy.
6 Il a établi sa tente dans le soleil, qui est lui-même semblable à un époux sortant de sa chambre nuptiale. Il s'est élancé comme un géant pour fournir (parcourir) sa carrière.	6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and there is nothing hid from its heat.
7 Il sort de l'extrémité du ciel, et sa course va jusqu'à l'autre extrémité, et il n'y a personne qui se dérobe à sa chaleur.	7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
8 La loi du Seigneur est sans tache, elle restaure les âmes ; le témoignage du Seigneur est fidèle, il donne la sagesse aux (plus) petits.	8 the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 Les justices du Seigneur sont droites, elles réjouissent les cœurs ; le précepte du Seigneur est lumineux, il éclaire les yeux.	9 the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever; the ordinances of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether.
10 La crainte du Seigneur est sainte, elle subsiste à jamais ; les jugements du Seigneur sont vrais, ils se justifient par eux-mêmes.	10 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Ils sont plus désirables que l'or et que beaucoup de pierres précieuses ; ils sont plus doux que le miel, et qu'un rayon (plein) de miel.	11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Aussi votre serviteur les observe ; à les garder, on (il) trouve une grande récompense.	12 But who can discern his errors? Clear thou me from hidden faults.
13 Qui connaît (comprend) ses fautes ? Purifiez-moi de celles qui sont cachées en moi,	13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.
14 et préservez votre serviteur de la corruption des étrangers. S'ils ne me dominent point, alors je serai sans tache, et purifié d'un très grand péché.	14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
15 Et alors les paroles de ma bouche pourront vous plaire, et la méditation de mon cœur sera toujours en votre présence. Seigneur, vous êtes mon secours et mon rédempteur.
