Psalmi 11

VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 In finem, pro octava. Psalmus David.	1 [For the choirmaster Of David] In Yahweh I have found refuge. How can you say to me, 'Bird, flee toyour mountain?
2 Salvum me fac, Domine, quoniam defecit sanctus, quoniam diminutæ sunt veritates a filiis hominum.	2 'For look, the wicked are drawing their bows, fitting their arrows to the string to shoot honest men fromthe shadows.
3 Vana locuti sunt unusquisque ad proximum suum ; labia dolosa, in corde et corde locuti sunt.	3 If the foundations fal to ruin, what can the upright do?'
4 Disperdat Dominus universa labia dolosa, et linguam magniloquam.	4 Yahweh in his holy temple! Yahweh, his throne is in heaven; his eyes watch over the world, his gazescrutinises the children of Adam.
5 Qui dixerunt : Linguam nostram magnificabimus ; labia nostra a nobis sunt. Quis noster dominus est ?	5 Yahweh examines the upright and the wicked, the lover of violence he detests.
6 Propter miseriam inopum, et gemitum pauperum, nunc exsurgam, dicit Dominus. Ponam in salutari ; fiducialiter agam in eo.	6 He will rain down red-hot coals, fire and sulphur on the wicked, a scorching wind wil be their lot.
7 Eloquia Domini, eloquia casta ; argentum igne examinatum, probatum terræ, purgatum septuplum.	7 For Yahweh is upright and loves uprightness, the honest will ever see his face.
8 Tu, Domine, servabis nos, et custodies nos a generatione hac in æternum.
9 In circuitu impii ambulant : secundum altitudinem tuam multiplicasti filios hominum.
