1 'Salmo. Di Davide. Al maestro del coro.'	1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Listen, God, to my voice as I plead, protect my life from fear ofthe enemy;
2 Ascolta, Dio, la voce, del mio lamento, dal terrore del nemico preserva la mia vita.	2 hide me from the league of the wicked, from the gang of evil-doers.
3 Proteggimi dalla congiura degli empi dal tumulto dei malvagi.	3 They sharpen their tongues like a sword, aim their arrows of poisonous abuse,
4 Affilano la loro lingua come spada, scagliano come frecce parole amare	4 shoot at the innocent from cover, shoot suddenly, with nothing to fear.
5 per colpire di nascosto l'innocente; lo colpiscono di sorpresa e non hanno timore.	5 They support each other in their evil designs, they discuss how to lay their snares. 'Who wil see us?'they say,
6 Si ostinano nel fare il male, si accordano per nascondere tranelli; dicono: "Chi li potrà vedere?".	6 'or wil penetrate our secrets?' He wil do that, he who penetrates human nature to its depths, thedepths of the heart.
7 Meditano iniquità, attuano le loro trame: un baratro è l'uomo e il suo cuore un abisso.	7 God has shot them with his arrow, sudden were their wounds.
8 Ma Dio li colpisce con le sue frecce: all'improvviso essi sono feriti,	8 He brings them down because of their tongue, and al who see them shake their heads.
9 la loro stessa lingua li farà cadere; chiunque, al vederli, scuoterà il capo.	9 Everyone wil be awestruck, proclaim what God has done, and understand why he has done it.
10 Allora tutti saranno presi da timore, annunzieranno le opere di Dio e capiranno ciò che egli ha fatto.	10 The upright wil rejoice in Yahweh, wil take refuge in him, and al the honest wil praise him.
11 Il giusto gioirà nel Signore e riporrà in lui la sua speranza, i retti di cuore ne trarranno gloria.
