1 Alleluia. Amo il Signore perché ascolta il grido della mia preghiera.	1 I love the LORD, who listened to my voice in supplication,
2 Verso di me ha teso l'orecchio nel giorno in cui lo invocavo.	2 Who turned an ear to me on the day I called.
3 Mi stringevano funi di morte, ero preso nei lacci degli inferi. Mi opprimevano tristezza e angoscia	3 I was caught by the cords of death; the snares of Sheol had seized me; I felt agony and dread.
4 e ho invocato il nome del Signore: "Ti prego, Signore, salvami".	4 Then I called on the name of the LORD, "O LORD, save my life!"
5 Buono e giusto è il Signore, il nostro Dio è misericordioso.	5 Gracious is the LORD and just; yes, our God is merciful.
6 Il Signore protegge gli umili: ero misero ed egli mi ha salvato.	6 The LORD protects the simple; I was helpless, but God saved me.
7 Ritorna, anima mia, alla tua pace, poiché il Signore ti ha beneficato;	7 Return, my soul, to your rest; the LORD has been good to you.
8 egli mi ha sottratto dalla morte, ha liberato i miei occhi dalle lacrime, ha preservato i miei piedi dalla caduta.	8 For my soul has been freed from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
9 Camminerò alla presenza del Signore sulla terra dei viventi.	9 I shall walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 Alleluia. Ho creduto anche quando dicevo: "Sono troppo infelice".	10 I kept faith, even when I said, "I am greatly afflicted!"
11 Ho detto con sgomento: "Ogni uomo è inganno".	11 I said in my alarm, "No one can be trusted!"
12 Che cosa renderò al Signore per quanto mi ha dato?	12 How can I repay the LORD for all the good done for me?
13 Alzerò il calice della salvezza e invocherò il nome del Signore.	13 I will raise the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.
14 Adempirò i miei voti al Signore, davanti a tutto il suo popolo.	14 I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.
15 Preziosa agli occhi del Signore è la morte dei suoi fedeli.	15 Too costly in the eyes of the LORD is the death of his faithful.
16 Sì, io sono il tuo servo, Signore, io sono tuo servo, figlio della tua ancella; hai spezzato le mie catene.	16 LORD, I am your servant, your servant, the child of your maidservant; you have loosed my bonds.
17 A te offrirò sacrifici di lode e invocherò il nome del Signore.	17 I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD.
18 Adempirò i miei voti al Signore e davanti a tutto il suo popolo,	18 I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people,
19 negli atri della casa del Signore, in mezzo a te, Gerusalemme.	19 In the courts of the house of the LORD, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
