1 MA Baldad di Sneh rispose, e disse:	1 Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:
2 Potente, e terribile è quegli, che mantien la concordia nell'alte sue spere.	2 Dominion and awesomeness are his who brings about harmony in his heavens.
3 Si può forse contare il numero di sue milizie? e chi è che non partecipi della sua luce?	3 Is there any numbering of his troops? Yet to which of them does not his light extend?
4 Può egli forse un uomo esser giustificato, ove si paragoni con Dio, o apparir mondo uno che è nato di donna?	4 How can a man be just in God's sight, or how can any woman's child be innocent?
5 Certamente la luna stessa non ha splendore, e le stelle non sono pure dinanzi a lui:	5 Behold, even the moon is not bright and the stars are not clear in his sight.
6 Quanto men l'uomo che è putredine, e il figliuolo dell'uomo che è un verme?	6 How much less man, who is but a maggot, the son of man, who is only a worm?
