1 'Salmo. Canto. Per il giorno del sabato.'	1 A psalm. A sabbath song.
2 È bello dar lode al Signore e cantare al tuo nome, o Altissimo,	2 It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praise to your name, Most High,
3 annunziare al mattino il tuo amore, la tua fedeltà lungo la notte,	3 To proclaim your love in the morning, your faithfulness in the night,
4 sull'arpa a dieci corde e sulla lira, con canti sulla cetra.	4 With the ten-stringed harp, with melody upon the lyre.
5 Poiché mi rallegri, Signore, con le tue meraviglie, esulto per l'opera delle tue mani.	5 For you make me jubilant, LORD, by your deeds; at the works of your hands I shout for joy.
6 Come sono grandi le tue opere, Signore, quanto profondi i tuoi pensieri!	6 How great are your works, LORD! How profound your purpose!
7 L'uomo insensato non intende e lo stolto non capisce:	7 A senseless person cannot know this; a fool cannot comprehend.
8 se i peccatori germogliano come l'erba e fioriscono tutti i malfattori, li attende una rovina eterna:	8 Though the wicked flourish like grass and all sinners thrive, They are destined for eternal destruction;
9 ma tu sei l'eccelso per sempre, o Signore.	9 for you, LORD, are forever on high.
10 Ecco, i tuoi nemici, o Signore, ecco, i tuoi nemici periranno, saranno dispersi tutti i malfattori.	10 Indeed your enemies, LORD, indeed your enemies shall perish; all sinners shall be scattered.
11 Tu mi doni la forza di un bùfalo, mi cospargi di olio splendente.	11 You have given me the strength of a wild bull; you have poured rich oil upon me.
12 I miei occhi disprezzeranno i miei nemici, e contro gli iniqui che mi assalgono i miei orecchi udranno cose infauste.	12 My eyes look with glee on my wicked enemies; my ears delight in the fall of my foes.
13 Il giusto fiorirà come palma, crescerà come cedro del Libano;	13 The just shall flourish like the palm tree, shall grow like a cedar of Lebanon.
14 piantati nella casa del Signore, fioriranno negli atri del nostro Dio.	14 Planted in the house of the LORD, they shall flourish in the courts of our God.
15 Nella vecchiaia daranno ancora frutti, saranno vegeti e rigogliosi,	15 They shall bear fruit even in old age, always vigorous and sturdy,
16 per annunziare quanto è retto il Signore: mia roccia, in lui non c'è ingiustizia.	16 As they proclaim: "The LORD is just; our rock, in whom there is no wrong."
