2 Pietà di me, o Dio, perché l'uomo mi calpesta, un aggressore sempre mi opprime.	2 Have mercy on me, God, for I am treated harshly; attackers press me all the day.
3 Mi calpestano sempre i miei nemici, molti sono quelli che mi combattono.	3 My foes treat me harshly all the day; yes, many are my attackers. O Most High,
4 Nell'ora della paura, io in te confido.	4 when I am afraid, in you I place my trust.
5 In Dio, di cui lodo la parola, in Dio confido, non avrò timore: che cosa potrà farmi un uomo?	5 God, I praise your promise; in you I trust, I do not fear. What can mere flesh do to me?
6 Travisano sempre le mie parole, non pensano che a farmi del male.	6 All the day they foil my plans; their every thought is of evil against me.
7 Suscitano contese e tendono insidie, osservano i miei passi, per attentare alla mia vita.	7 They hide together in ambush; they watch my every step; they lie in wait for my life.
8 Per tanta iniquità non abbiano scampo: nella tua ira abbatti i popoli, o Dio.	8 They are evil; watch them, God! Cast the nations down in your anger!
9 I passi del mio vagare tu li hai contati, le mie lacrime nell'otre tuo raccogli; non sono forse scritte nel tuo libro?	9 My wanderings you have noted; are my tears not stored in your vial, recorded in your book?
10 Allora ripiegheranno i miei nemici, quando ti avrò invocato: so che Dio è in mio favore.	10 My foes turn back when I call on you. This I know: God is on my side.
11 Lodo la parola di Dio, lodo la parola del Signore,	11 God, I praise your promise;
12 in Dio confido, non avrò timore: che cosa potrà farmi un uomo?	12 in you I trust, I do not fear. What can mere mortals do to me?
13 Su di me, o Dio, i voti che ti ho fatto: ti renderò azioni di grazie,	13 I have made vows to you, God; with offerings I will fulfill them,
14 perché mi hai liberato dalla morte. Hai preservato i miei piedi dalla caduta, perché io cammini alla tua presenza nella luce dei viventi, o Dio.	14 Once you have snatched me from death, kept my feet from stumbling, That I may walk before God in the light of the living.
