2 Date al Signore la gloria del suo nome, prostratevi al Signore in santi ornamenti.	2 give Yahweh the glory due to his name, adore Yahweh in the splendour of holiness.
3 Il Signore tuona sulle acque, il Dio della gloria scatena il tuono, il Signore, sull'immensità delle acque.	3 Yahweh's voice over the waters, the God of glory thunders; Yahweh over countless waters,
4 Il Signore tuona con forza, tuona il Signore con potenza.	4 Yahweh's voice in power, Yahweh's voice in splendour;
5 Il tuono del Signore schianta i cedri, il Signore schianta i cedri del Libano.	5 Yahweh's voice shatters cedars, Yahweh shatters cedars of Lebanon,
6 Fa balzare come un vitello il Libano e il Sirion come un giovane bufalo.	6 he makes Lebanon skip like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 Il tuono saetta fiamme di fuoco,	7 Yahweh's voice carves out lightning-shafts,
8 il tuono scuote la steppa, il Signore scuote il deserto di Kades.	8 Yahweh's voice convulses the desert, Yahweh convulses the desert of Kadesh,
9 Il tuono fa partorire le cerve e spoglia le foreste. Nel suo tempio tutti dicono: "Gloria!".	9 Yahweh's voice convulses terebinths, strips forests bare. In his palace al cry, 'Glory!'
