Ezechiele 28

1 E il Signore parlommi, e disse:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 Figliuolo dell'uomo dì al principe di Tiro; Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Perchè si è innalzato il cuor tuo, ed hai detto: Io sono un Dio, e sul trono sono assiso qual Dio in mezzo al mare; mentre tu se' un uomo, e non un Dio, e ti se' attribuitamente, quasi mente di un Dio:	2 'Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Because your heart has grownproud, you thought: I am a god; I am divinely enthroned far out to sea. Though you are human, not divine, youhave allowed yourself to think like God.
3 Ecco che tu se' più saggio di Daniele: nissun arcano e ascoso a te.	3 So, you are wiser than Danel; no sage as wise as you!
4 Tu ti se' fatto forte colla tua sapienza, e prudenza, e riponesti oro, ed argento ne' tuoi tesori.	4 By your wisdom and your intel igence you have made yourself a fortune, you have put gold and silverinto your treasuries.
5 Colla tua molta sapienza, e colla tua mercatura hai accresciuta la tua potenza, e il cuor tuo si è innalzato a motivo di tua robustezza.	5 Such is your skill in trading, your fortune has continued to increase, and your fortune has made yourheart grow prouder.
6 Per questo così dice il Signore Dio: Dappoiché il tuo cuore si è innalzato, come se fosse cuore di un Dio;	6 "And so, the Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have al owed yourself to think like God,
7 Ecco, che io perciò condurrò contro di te degli stranieri fortissimi tralle nazioni, e sguaineranno le spade loro contro la tua bella saggezza, e oscureranno il tuo splendore.	7 very wel , I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most barbarous of the nations. They wil draw sword against your fine wisdom, they wil desecrate your splendour,
8 Ti uccideranno, e ti getteranno per terra, e morrai della morte di quegli, che sono uccisi in mezzo al mare.	8 they will throw you down into the grave and you wil die a violent death far out to sea.
9 Parlerai tu forse, e dirai dinanzi a' tuoi uccisori, io sono un Dio; mentre tu se' un uomo dato in potere di quegli, che ti torranno la vita, e non un Dio?	9 Wil you stil think: I am a god, when your slaughterers confront you? But you will be human, not divine,in the clutches of the ones who strike you down!
10 Morrai della morte degl'incirconcisi per man di stranieri; perchè io ho parlato, dice il Signore Dio.	10 You wil die like the uncircumcised at the hand of foreigners. "For I have spoken -- declares the LordYahweh." '
11 E il Signore parlommi, e disse: Figliuolo dell'uomo intuona lugubre cantico sopra il re di Tiro;	11 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
12 E gli dirai: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Tu sigillo di somiglianza, pieno di sapienza, e perfetto in bellezza,	12 'Son of man, raise a lament for the king of Tyre. Say to him, "The Lord Yahweh says this: You usedto be a model of perfection, ful of wisdom, perfect in beauty;
13 Tu vivevi tralle delizie del paradiso di Dio: sul tuo vestimento era ogni sorta di pietre preziose, il sardio, il topazio, e l'iaspide, il crisolito, e l'oniche, e il berillo, il saffiro, il carbonchio, e lo smeraldo, e l'oro, che ti da va splendore, e gli strumenti musicali furon pronti per te nel giorno di tua creazione.	13 you were in Eden, in the garden of God. Al kinds of gem formed your mantle: sard, topaz, diamond,chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, garnet, emerald, and your ear-pendants and spangles were made of gold; alwas ready on the day you were created.
14 Tu Cherubino, che le ali stende, e adombra; e io ti collocai nel santo monte di Dio: tu camminavi in mezzo alle pietre (preziose), che gettavan fuoco.	14 I made you a living creature with outstretched wings, as guardian, you were on the holy mountain ofGod; you walked amid red-hot coals.
15 Perfetto nelle tue vie dal giorno,in cui fosti creato, fino a tanto che in te si trovò iniquità.	15 Your behaviour was exemplary from the day you were created until guilt first appeared in you,
16 Nell'ampiezza del tuo traffico si riempì il tuo interno d'iniquità, e tu peccasti, ed io ti discacciai dal monte di Dio; e te Cherubino protettore spogliai delle pietre preziose, che avevano splendor di fuoco.	16 because your busy trading has fil ed you with violence and sin. I have thrown you down from themountain of God and destroyed you, guardian winged creature, amid the coals.
17 Perocché il tuo cuore si innalzò dnella tua magnificenza: la saggezza perdesti, insieme, e la magnificenza: io ti gittai per terra: ti esposi agli occhi dei re, affinchè ti mirassero.	17 Your heart has grown proud because of your beauty, your wisdom has been corrupted by yoursplendour. I have thrown you to the ground; I have made you a spectacle for kings.
18 Col gran numero di tue iniquità, e cogl'ingiusti tuoi traffichi contaminasti col tuo santuario: io adunque di mezzo a te farò nascere un fuoco, che ti divori, e ti ridurrò in cenere sulla terra dinanzi a tutti coloro, che han gli occhi sopra di te.	18 By the immense number of your crimes, by the dishonesty of your trading, you have defiled yoursanctuary. So I have brought fire out of you to devour you; I have reduced you to ashes on the ground before theeyes of al who saw you.
19 Tutti quegli d'altre nazioni, che ti vedranno, resteran commossi per causa tua: tu se' ridotto al niente, e in perpetuo non sarai più.	19 Of the nations, al who know you are stunned at your fate. You are an object of terror; gone for ever."'
20 E il Signore parlommi, dicendo:	20 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
21 Figliuolo dell'uomo, volgi la tua faccia contro Sidone, e profeta sopra di lei,	21 'Son of man, turn towards Sidon and prophesy against her.
22 E dirai: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, o Sidone, ed io sarò glorificato in mezzo a te: imperocché conosceran, ch'io sono il Signore, allorché farò giudizio di lei, e farò in lei risplendere la mia santità.	22 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am against you, Sidon, I will show my glory in you! They wilknow I am Yahweh, once I execute sentence on her and display my holiness in her.
23 Io manderò a lei la pestilenza, e il sangue inonderà le sue piazze, e cadranno gli uomini in mezzo a lei uccisi di spada in ogni parte, e conosceranno, ch'io sono il Signore.	23 For I shall send her the plague, and there wil be blood in her streets, and in her the dead wil falunder the sword raised against her from al sides, and they will know that I am Yahweh.
24 Ed ella non sarà più d'inciampo, e di amarezza alla casa d'Israele, né spina, che fa dolore saranno quei, che d'ogni parte lo attorniano, e a lui sono infesti: e conosceranno, ch'io sono il Signore.	24 "No more, for the House of Israel, shall any of the hostile nations surrounding them be a thorn thatwounds or a briar that tears; and they will know that I am Yahweh.
25 Queste cose il Signore Dio: Quando io avrò raunata la casa d'Israele di mezzo a' popoli, tra' quali la ho dispersa, io farò in lei conoscere la mia santità dinanzi alle nazioni: ed ella abiterà nella sua terrà data da me a Giacobbe mio servo.	25 "The Lord Yahweh says this: When I gather the House of Israel back from the peoples where theyare dispersed, I shal display my glory in them for the nations to see. They wil live on the soil which I gave to myservant Jacob.
26 E vi abiteranno scevri di timore, e fabbricheranno case, e pianteranno vigne, e viveranno tranquilli, allorché io avrò fatto giudizio di tutti i confinanti, che son loro nemici; e conosceran ch'io sono il Signore Dio loro.	26 They will live there in confidence, build houses, plant vineyards. They wil live in safety, once I inflictpunishments on all the hostile nations surrounding them, and they will know that I am Yahweh their God." '
