1 Alleluia. Lodate il Signore: è bello cantare al nostro Dio, dolce è lodarlo come a lui conviene.	1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh -- it is good to sing psalms to our God -- how pleasant to praise him.
2 Il Signore ricostruisce Gerusalemme, raduna i dispersi d'Israele.	2 Yahweh, Builder of Jerusalem! He gathers together the exiles of Israel,
3 Risana i cuori affranti e fascia le loro ferite;	3 healing the broken-hearted and binding up their wounds;
4 egli conta il numero delle stelle e chiama ciascuna per nome.	4 he counts out the number of the stars, and gives each one of them a name.
5 Grande è il Signore, onnipotente, la sua sapienza non ha confini.	5 Our Lord is great, al -powerful, his wisdom beyond al telling.
6 Il Signore sostiene gli umili ma abbassa fino a terra gli empi.	6 Yahweh sustains the poor, and humbles the wicked to the ground.
7 Cantate al Signore un canto di grazie, intonate sulla cetra inni al nostro Dio.	7 Sing to Yahweh in thanksgiving, play the harp for our God.
8 Egli copre il cielo di nubi, prepara la pioggia per la terra, fa germogliare l'erba sui monti.	8 He veils the sky with clouds, and provides the earth with rain, makes grass grow on the hills andplants for people to use,
9 Provvede il cibo al bestiame, ai piccoli del corvo che gridano a lui.	9 gives fodder to cattle and to young ravens when they cry.
10 Non fa conto del vigore del cavallo, non apprezza l'agile corsa dell'uomo.	10 He takes no delight in the power of horses, no pleasure in human sturdiness;
11 Il Signore si compiace di chi lo teme, di chi spera nella sua grazia.	11 his pleasure is in those who fear him, in those who hope in his faithful love.
12 Alleluia. Glorifica il Signore, Gerusalemme, loda il tuo Dio, Sion.	12 Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem, Zion, praise your God.
13 Perché ha rinforzato le sbarre delle tue porte, in mezzo a te ha benedetto i tuoi figli.	13 For he gives strength to the bars of your gates, he blesses your children within you,
14 Egli ha messo pace nei tuoi confini e ti sazia con fior di frumento.	14 he maintains the peace of your frontiers, gives you your fil of finest wheat.
15 Manda sulla terra la sua parola, il suo messaggio corre veloce.	15 He sends his word to the earth, his command runs quickly,
16 Fa scendere la neve come lana, come polvere sparge la brina.	16 he spreads the snow like flax, strews hoarfrost like ashes,
17 Getta come briciole la grandine, di fronte al suo gelo chi resiste?	17 he sends ice-crystals like breadcrumbs, and who can withstand that cold?
18 Manda una sua parola ed ecco si scioglie, fa soffiare il vento e scorrono le acque.	18 When he sends his word it thaws them, when he makes his wind blow, the waters are unstopped.
19 Annunzia a Giacobbe la sua parola, le sue leggi e i suoi decreti a Israele.	19 He reveals his word to Jacob, his statutes and judgements to Israel.
20 Così non ha fatto con nessun altro popolo, non ha manifestato ad altri i suoi precetti. Alleluia.	20 For no other nation has he done this, no other has known his judgements.
