Ezechiele 7

1 Il Signore parlommi, e disse:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
2 Or tu figliuolo dell'uomo, queste cose dice il Signore Dio alla terra d'Israele: Il fine viene, viene il fine per tutte le quattro parti di questa terra.	2 'Son of man, say, "Lord Yahweh says this to the land of Israel: Finished! The end is coming for the fourcorners of the country.
3 Adesso è il fine per te, e io rovescerò il furor mio contro di te, e ti giudicherò secondo il tuo operare, e porrò davanti a te tutte le tue abbominazioni.	3 This is the end for you; I shall unleash my anger on you, and judge you as your conduct deserves andcal you to account for al your loathsome practices.
4 E l'occhio mio non si impietosirà sopra di te, e non avrò misericordia, ma sopra di te porrò le opere tue, e le tue abbominazioni saranno in mezzo a te, e conoscerete, che io sono il Signore.	4 I shall show you no pity, I shall not spare you; I shall repay you for your conduct and for the loathsomepractices in which you persist. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh.
5 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: L'afflizione unica, l'afflizione ecco che viene:	5 "The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster, a unique disaster, is coming.
6 Il fine viene, viene il fine, sollecitamente si affretta contro di te, eccolo che viene;	6 The end is coming, the end is coming, it is on the move towards you, it is coming now.
7 Viene lo sterminio sopra di te, che abiti questa terra; il tempo viene, è vicino il dì della strage, e non del tripudio sui monti.	7 Now it is your turn, you who dwel in this country. Doom is coming, the day is near; no joy now, onlytumult, on the mountains.
8 Or io mi avvicino per versare sopra di te l'ira mia, e sfogherò in te il mio furore, e ti giudicherò secondo le opere tue, e porrò sopra di te tutte le tue scelleratezze;	8 Now I shal soon vent my fury on you and sate my anger on you: I shal judge you as your conductdeserves and repay you for al your loathsome practices.
9 E l'occhio mio non s'impietosirà, e non avrò misericordia, ma le opere tue porrò sopra di te, e le tue abbominazioni saranno in mezzo a te, e conoscerete, che io sono il Signore, che punisco.	9 I shall show neither pity nor mercy, but shall repay you for your conduct and the loathsome practices inwhich you persist. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh and that I strike.
10 Ecco il giorno, ecco che ei viene: lo sterminio s'avanza: la verga ha fiorito, la superbia ha gettati i suoi rami:	10 "Now is the day, your turn has come, it has come, it appears, the sceptre has blossomed, pride is at itspeak.
11 L'iniquità è cresciuta in verga dell'empietà, non avrà scampo nissun di loro, nissuno del popolo, nissuno di e que', che fanno romore; ei non avranno mai requie.	11 Violence has risen to become the scourge of wickedness . . .
12 Viene il tempo, si avvicina il dì: chi compra non si rallegri, e chi vende, non pianga; perocché l'ira sta sopra di tutto il suo popolo;	12 Doom is coming, the day is near. Neither should buyer rejoice, nor sel er regret, for the fury rests oneveryone alike.
13 Perocché chi vende non ritornerà ad avere l'effetto venduto, benché sia tuttora tra' vivi: conciossiachè la visione, che è per tutta la sua moltitudine, non sarà senza effetto, e nissuno nella iniqua sua vita troverà suo sostegno.	13 The sel er wil not be able to go back on his bargain; each persists in his sins; they take no defensivemeasures.
14 Date fiato alla tromba: mettansi tutti in ordine: ma alcuno non è, che vada a combattere, perchè l'ira mia sta sopra di tutto il suo popolo.	14 The trumpet sounds, all is ready, but no one goes into battle, since my fury rests on all alike.
15 Di fuori la spada, e dentro la peste, e la fame: chi è in campagna, morrà di spada, e chi in città, sei divoreranno la peste, e la fame.	15 "Outside, the sword; inside, plague and famine. Whoever is living in the countryside wil die by thesword; whoever is living in the city will be devoured by famine and plague.
16 E si salveranno quei di loro, che fuggiranno, e staranno sui monti quai colombe delle valli tutti pieni di paura, ognuno al riflesso di sua iniquità.	16 And those who escape wil escape to the mountains and there, like doves of the valleys, I shalslaughter them al , each one for his sin.
17 Tutte le braccia saranno fiacche, e tutte le ginocchia vacilleranno.	17 Every hand wil grow limp, every knee turn to water.
18 E si vestiran di cilizi, e saranno ingombri di spavento: in ogni faccia la confusione, e tutte le loro teste saranno calve.	18 They wil put on sackcloth, each one trembling. Every face wil be ashamed and every head beshaved.
19 Getteran fuora il loro argento, e l'oro tralle immondezze. Il loro argento, né l'oro salvare non li potrà nel dì del furor del Signore, nè saziare l'anima loro, né empire il loro ventre, perchè è stato occasione d'inciampo alla loro malvagità.	19 They wil throw their silver away in the streets and their gold they wil regard as a pollution; neithertheir silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of Yahweh's fury. Never again wil they haveenough to eat, never again wil they fil their bellies, since that was the occasion for their guilt.
20 E l'ornamento de' loro monil servir fecero alla superbia, e a farne immagini delle loro abbominazioni, e de' loro idoli: per questo farò, ch'ei sia per essi immondezza:	20 They used to pride themselves on the beauty of their jewel ery, out of which they made theirloathsome images, their horrors; so now I have made it pol ute them.
21 E darollo in preda alle mani degli stranieri, e ne faran bottino gli empj della terra, e lo profaneranno.	21 I shal hand it over as plunder to foreigners, as loot to the most evil people on earth. They wil profaneit.
22 E volgerò da loro la mia faccia: e quelli violeranno i miei penetrali, e vi entreranno i ladroni, e li contamineranno.	22 I shal turn my face away from them, while my treasure-house is profaned and robbers wil force theirway in and profane it.
23 Ristringi in poco: perchè la terra è pjena di sanguinarj giudizj, e la città è piena d'iniquità.	23 "Forge yourself a chain; for the country is full of bloody executions and the city ful of deeds ofviolence,
24 Io condurrò qua la feccia delle genti, e questa possederà le loro case e reprimerò la superbia de' potenti, e i lor santuari saranno occupati da altri.	24 so I shall bring the cruel est of the nations to seize their houses. I shal put an end to the pride of theire'lite, and their sanctuary wil be profaned.
25 Sovraggiunto che sia lo sterminio, cercheran pace, né pace sarà.	25 Terror is on the way: they will look for peace and there wil be none.
26 Afflizione verrà sopra afflizione, e cattive nuove sopra nuove cattive, e domanderanno al profeta quel, che abbia veduto, e i sacerdoti non sapranno più la legge, e i seniori saranno senza consiglio.	26 Disaster will fol ow on disaster, rumour on rumour; they will pester the prophet for a vision; the priestwil be at a loss over the law and the elders on how to advise.
27 Il re sarà nell'afflizione, e il principe sarà coperto di tristezza, e il popolo del paese sarà senza braccia. Secondo le opere loro li tratterò, e secondo ì loro giudizj farò giudizio di essi, econosceranno, ch'io sono il Signore.	27 The king wil go into mourning, the prince be plunged in grief, the hands of the country people tremble.I shal treat them as their conduct deserves, and judge them as their own verdicts merit. Then they wil know thatI am Yahweh!" '
