Ezechiele 34

BIBBIA MARTINI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E il Signore parlommi, dicendo:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 Figliuolo dell'uomo, profetizza intorno a' pastori d'Israele, profetizza, e di ai pastori: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Guai a' pastori d'Israele, i quali pascon se stessi: non son eglino i greggi, che son pasciuti dai pastori?	2 'Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them, "Shepherds, theLord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Are not shepherdsmeant to feed a flock?
3 Voi mangiavate il latte; e delle lane vi facevate vestito, e le grasse pecore uccidevate, ma del gregge mio non avevate pensiero.	3 Yet you have fed on milk, you have dressed yourselves in wool, you have sacrificed the fattest sheep,but failed to feed the flock.
4 Non ristoraste il debole, non sanaste il malato, non fasciaste le membra rotte, e non sollevaste le (pecore) cadute, e non andaste in cerca delle traviate: ma governaste con rigore, e con crudeltà.	4 You have failed to make weak sheep strong, or to care for the sick ones, or bandage the injured ones.You have failed to bring back strays or look for the lost. On the contrary, you have ruled them cruel y andharshly.
5 E le mie pecorelle si son disperse, perchè eran senza pastore: e sono state divorate da tutte le fiere del campo, e si sono disperse.	5 For lack of a shepherd they have been scattered, to become the prey of al the wild animals; they havebeen scattered.
6 I miei greggi andaron errando per tutti i monti, e per tutte le alte colline, e si spersero le mie greggi per tutta quanta la terra, e non era chi andasse in traccia di esse, non era, dico, chi in traccia ne andasse.	6 My flock is astray on every mountain and on every high hil ; my flock has been scattered al over theworld; no one bothers about them and no one looks for them.
7 Per questo udite, o pastori, la parola del Signore:	7 "Very wel , shepherds, hear the word of Yahweh:
8 Io giuro, dice il Signore Dio, perchè i miei greggi sono stati esposti alle rapine, e le mie pecorelle ad essere divorate da tutte le bestie dei campi, perchè non vi era pastore: imperocché ì miei pastori non badavano al mio gregge, ma pascevan se stessi, e non pascevano i miei greggi;	8 As I live, I swear it -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- since my flock has been pil aged and for lack of ashepherd is now the prey of every wild animal, since my shepherds have ceased to bother about my flock, sincemy shepherds feed themselves rather than my flock,
9 Per questo udite, o pastori, la parola del Signore:	9 very wel , shepherds, hear the word of Yahweh:
10 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, che io stesso ai pastori domanderò conto del mio gregge, a loro il domanderò, e farò fine di essi, affinchè più non pascano il gregge, e non pascano più se stessi i pastori, e il gregge mio libererò dalle loro fauci, e non sarà più loro cibo;	10 The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against the shepherds. I shall take my flock out of theircharge and henceforth not al ow them to feed my flock. And the shepherds will stop feeding themselves,because I shal rescue my sheep from their mouths to stop them from being food for them.
11 Imperocché queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, che io stesso anderò in cerca di mie pecorelle, e le visiterò.	11 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I myself shal take care of my flock and look after it.
12 Come il pastore va rivedendo il suo gregge nel giorno, in cui trovasi in mezzo alle sue pecorelle, che si eran disperse, cosi visiterò io le mie pecorelle, e rimenerolle da tutti que luoghi, pe' quali erano state disperse nel giorno di nuvolo, e di caligine.	12 As a shepherd looks after his flock when he is with his scattered sheep, so shal I look after mysheep. I shal rescue them from wherever they have been scattered on the day of clouds and darkness.
13 E trarrolle di mezzo ai popoli, e le radunerò dalle varie regioni, e condurrolle nella loro terra, e pascerolle sui monti d'Israele, e presso ai rivi, e in tutti i luoghi di essa terra.	13 I shal bring them back from the peoples where they are; I shal gather them back from the countriesand bring them back to their own land. I shall pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in althe inhabited parts of the country.
14 Le menerò in abbondantissimi pascoli, e sui monti eccelsi d'Israele saranno i pascoli loro: ivi riposeranno sulle erbette verdeggianti, e alle grasse pasture si satolleranno sui monti d'Israele.	14 I shal feed them in good pasturage; the highest mountains of Israel will be their grazing ground.There they will rest in good grazing grounds; they will browse in rich pastures on the mountains of Israel.
15 Io pascerò le mie pecorelle, ed io le farò riposare, dice il Signore Dio.	15 I myself shal pasture my sheep, I myself shal give them rest -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
16 Anderò in cerca di quelle, che erano smarrite, e solleverò quelle, che eran cadute, e fascerò le piaghe di quelle, che avran sofferta frattura, e ristorerò le deboli, ed avrò l'occhio a quelle, che son grasse, e robuste, e ognuna di esse pascerò con saggezza.	16 I shal look for the lost one, bring back the stray, bandage the injured and make the sick strong. Ishall watch over the fat and healthy. I shall be a true shepherd to them.
17 Ma a voi, greggi miei, queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, che io fo giudizio tra pecore, e pecore, tra arieti, e montoni.	17 "As for you, my sheep, the Lord Yahweh says this: I shall judge between sheep and sheep, betweenrams and he-goats.
18 Non bastava egli a voi di consumare i buoni pascoli? Voi di più gli avanzi di vostra pastura avete ancor pestati co' vostri piedi, e bevuto avendo acqua purissima, quella, che ne lasciaste, la intorbidaste co' vostri piedi,	18 Not content to drink the clearest of the water, you foul the rest with your feet.
19 E le mie pecorelle di quello pascevansi, che avevate voi pestato co' piedi vostri, e l'acqua beveano intorbidata da' vostri piedi.	19 And my sheep must graze on what your feet have trampled and drink what your feet have fouled.
20 Per questo cosi dice a voi il Signore Dio: Ecco, che io fo giudizio trai pingue bestiame, e il magro;	20 Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: I myself shall judge between the fat sheep and the thin sheep.
21 Perocché voi urtavate co' fianchi, e cogli omeri vostri le deboli pecorelle, colle vostre corna le gettavate per aria, fino a tanto che fosser cacciate fuora, e disperse;	21 Since you have jostled with flank and shoulder and butted al the ailing sheep with your horns, untilyou have scattered them outside,
22 Io salverò il mio gregge, ed ei non sarà più depredato: ed io farò giudizio tra bestiame, e bestiame,	22 I shal come and save my sheep and stop them from being victimised. I shal judge between sheepand sheep.
23 E susciterò ad esse l'unico Pastore, che le governi, Davidde mio servo: egli le pascerà, ed ei sarà il loro pastore.	23 "I shal raise up one shepherd, my servant David, and put him in charge of them to pasture them; hewil pasture them and be their shepherd.
24 Ed io il Signore sarò loro Dio, e il mio servo Davidde sarà principe in mezzo di esse: io il Signore ho parlato.	24 I, Yahweh, shal be their God, and my servant David wil be ruler among them. I, Yahweh, havespoken.
25 E con esse farò alleanza di pace, e sterminerò dalla lor terra le fiere crudeli, e quegli, che abitano nel deserto, dormiranno quietamente pei boschi.	25 I shal make a covenant of peace with them; I shal rid the country of wild animals. They wil be ableto live secure in the desert and go to sleep in the woods.
26 E li farò benedizione intorno al mio monte, e manderò a suo tempo la pioggia: le pioggie saran di benedizione,	26 I shal settle them round my hil ; I shall send rain at the proper time; it wil be a rain of blessings.
27 E gli alberi della campagna produrranno il lor frutto, e la terra i suoi germi, e nella terra loro staranno senza timore, e conosceran, ch'io sono il Signore, quando avrò spezzate le catene del giogo loro, e gli avrò sottratti al poter di coloro, che li dominavano.	27 The trees of the countryside wil yield their fruit and the soil wil yield its produce; they will be secureon their soil. And they wil know that I am Yahweh when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from theclutches of their slave-masters.
28 E non saran più preda delle nazioni, né li divoreranno le bestie della terra; ma riposeranno tranquillamente senza verun timore.	28 No more wil they be a prey to the nations, no more wil the wild animals of the country devour them.They wil live secure, with no one to frighten them.
29 E farò nascer per essi il germe rinomato, e non saran più consunti dalla fame nella lor terra, e più non porteranno l'obbrobrio delle nazioni.	29 I shal make splendid vegetation grow for them; no more wil they suffer from famine in the country;no more will they have to bear the insults of other nations.
30 E conosceranno, che io il Signore Dio loro sarò con essi, ed eglino, casa d'Israele, saran mio popolo, dice il Signore Dio.	30 So they wil know that I, their God, am with them and that they, the House of Israel, are my people --declares the Lord Yahweh.
31 E voi, o uomini, voi siete i miei greggi, greggi pasciuti da me, ed io il Signore Dio vostro, dice il Signore Dio.	31 And you, my sheep, are the flock of my human pasture, and I am your God -- declares the LordYahweh." '
