| 5 E' simile a chi accumula tesori colui che onora sua madre. | 5 Whoever honors his father will be gladdened by his own children, and when he prays he will be heard. |
| 6 Chi onora il padre avrà consolazione dai figlioli e quando pregherà sarà esaudito. | 6 Whoever glorifies his father will have long life, and whoever obeys the Lord will refresh his mother; |
| 7 Chi onora il padre avrà vita molto lunga, e chi obbedisce al padre dà consolazione alla madre. | 7 he will serve his parents as his masters. |
| 8 Chi teme il Signore onora i genitori, e come padroni serve quelli che lo han generato. | 8 Honor your father by word and deed, that a blessing from him may come upon you. |
| 9 Coi fatti e colle parole, tutto sopportando, onora tuo padre, | 9 For a father's blessing strengthens the houses of the children, but a mother's curse uproots their foundations. |
| 10 affinchè la sua benedizione scenda sopra di te e ti rimanga fino all'ultimo la sua benedizione. | 10 Do not glorify yourself by dishonoring your father, for your father's dishonor is no glory to you. |
| 11 La benedizione del padre rende stabile le case dei figli, la maledizione della madre le divelge dai fondamenti. | 11 For a man's glory comes from honoring his father, and it is a disgrace for children not to respect their mother. |

| 23 perchè non è necessario per te vedere coi tuoi occhi le cose astruse. | 23 Do not meddle in what is beyond your tasks, for matters too great for human understanding have been shown you. |
| 24 Non ti lambiccare il cervello in cose superflue, e non essere curioso scrutatore delle molteplici opere di Dio; | 24 For their hasty judgment has led many astray, and wrong opinion has caused their thoughts to slip. |

| 26 Moltisono stati tratti in inganno dalle loro opinioni e ritenuti nell'errore dai loro sensi. | 26 A stubborn mind will be afflicted at the end, and whoever loves danger will perish by it. |
