2 Quanto sono amabili le tue dimore, Signore degli eserciti!	2 My whole being yearns and pines for Yahweh's courts, My heart and my body cry out for joy to theliving God.
3 L'anima mia languisce e brama gli atri del Signore. Il mio cuore e la mia carne esultano nel Dio vivente.	3 Even the sparrow has found a home, the swal ow a nest to place its young: your altars, YahwehSabaoth, my King and my God.
4 Anche il passero trova la casa, la rondine il nido, dove porre i suoi piccoli, presso i tuoi altari, Signore degli eserciti, mio re e mio Dio.	4 How blessed are those who live in your house; they shall praise you continual y. Pause
5 Beato chi abita la tua casa: sempre canta le tue lodi!	5 Blessed those who find their strength in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
6 Beato chi trova in te la sua forza e decide nel suo cuore il santo viaggio.	6 As they pass through the Val ey of the Balsam, they make there a water-hole, and -- a further blessing-- early rain fil s it.
7 Passando per la valle del pianto la cambia in una sorgente, anche la prima pioggia l'ammanta di benedizioni.	7 They make their way from height to height, God shows himself to them in Zion.
8 Cresce lungo il cammino il suo vigore, finché compare davanti a Dio in Sion.	8 Yahweh, God Sabaoth, hear my prayer, listen, God of Jacob.
9 Signore, Dio degli eserciti, ascolta la mia preghiera, porgi l'orecchio, Dio di Giacobbe.	9 God, our shield, look, and see the face of your anointed.
10 Vedi, Dio, nostro scudo, guarda il volto del tuo consacrato.	10 Better one day in your courts than a thousand at my own devices, to stand on the threshold of God'shouse than to live in the tents of the wicked.
11 Per me un giorno nei tuoi atri è più che mille altrove, stare sulla soglia della casa del mio Dio è meglio che abitare nelle tende degli empi.	11 For Yahweh God is a rampart and shield, he gives grace and glory; Yahweh refuses nothing good tothose whose life is blameless.
12 Poiché sole e scudo è il Signore Dio; il Signore concede grazia e gloria, non rifiuta il bene a chi cammina con rettitudine.	12 Yahweh Sabaoth, blessed is he who trusts in you.
13 Signore degli eserciti, beato l'uomo che in te confida.
