1 'Al maestro di coro. Sul canto: "I Torchi...". Salmo. Di Davide.'	1 To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith. A Psalm of David. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is thy name in all the earth! Thou whose glory above the heavens is chanted
2 O Signore, nostro Dio, quanto è grande il tuo nome su tutta la terra: sopra i cieli si innalza la tua magnificenza.	2 by the mouth of babes and infants, thou hast founded a bulwark because of thy foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.
3 Con la bocca dei bimbi e dei lattanti affermi la tua potenza contro i tuoi avversari, per ridurre al silenzio nemici e ribelli.	3 When I look at thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars which thou hast established;
4 Se guardo il tuo cielo, opera delle tue dita, la luna e le stelle che tu hai fissate,	4 what is man that thou art mindful of him, and the son of man that thou dost care for him?
5 che cosa è l'uomo perché te ne ricordi e il figlio dell'uomo perché te ne curi?	5 Yet thou hast made him little less than God, and dost crown him with glory and honor.
6 Eppure l'hai fatto poco meno degli angeli, di gloria e di onore lo hai coronato:	6 Thou hast given him dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet,
7 gli hai dato potere sulle opere delle tue mani, tutto hai posto sotto i suoi piedi;	7 all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,
8 tutti i greggi e gli armenti, tutte le bestie della campagna;	8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the sea.
9 Gli uccelli del cielo e i pesci del mare, che percorrono le vie del mare.	9 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is thy name in all the earth!
10 O Signore, nostro Dio, quanto è grande il tuo nome su tutta la terra.
