1 'Miktam. Di Davide.' Proteggimi, o Dio: in te mi rifugio.	1 A miktam of David. Keep me safe, O God; in you I take refuge
2 Ho detto a Dio: "Sei tu il mio Signore, senza di te non ho alcun bene".	2 I say to the Lord, you are my Lord, you are my only good.
3 Per i santi, che sono sulla terra, uomini nobili, è tutto il mio amore.	3 Worthless are all the false gods of the land. Accursed are all who delight in them.
4 Si affrettino altri a costruire idoli: io non spanderò le loro libazioni di sangue né pronunzierò con le mie labbra i loro nomi.	4 They multiply their sorrows who court other gods. Blood libations to them I will not pour out, nor will I take their names upon my lips.
5 Il Signore è mia parte di eredità e mio calice: nelle tue mani è la mia vita.	5 LORD, my allotted portion and my cup, you have made my destiny secure.
6 Per me la sorte è caduta su luoghi deliziosi, è magnifica la mia eredità.	6 Pleasant places were measured out for me; fair to me indeed is my inheritance.
7 Benedico il Signore che mi ha dato consiglio; anche di notte il mio cuore mi istruisce.	7 I bless the LORD who counsels me; even at night my heart exhorts me.
8 Io pongo sempre innanzi a me il Signore, sta alla mia destra, non posso vacillare.	8 I keep the LORD always before me; with the Lord at my right, I shall never be shaken.
9 Di questo gioisce il mio cuore, esulta la mia anima; anche il mio corpo riposa al sicuro,	9 Therefore my heart is glad, my soul rejoices; my body also dwells secure,
10 perché non abbandonerai la mia vita nel sepolcro, né lascerai che il tuo santo veda la corruzione.	10 For you will not abandon me to Sheol, nor let your faithful servant see the pit.
11 Mi indicherai il sentiero della vita, gioia piena nella tua presenza, dolcezza senza fine alla tua destra.	11 You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.
