BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 (Salmo a Salomone).	1 In you, Yahweh, I take refuge, I shal never be put to shame.
2 O Dio, concedi al re il tuo giudizio e la tua giustizia al figlio del re, affinchè giudichi con giustizia il popolo e con equità i tuoi poveri.	2 In your saving justice rescue me, deliver me, listen to me and save me.
3 Ricevano i monti la pace pel popolo e i colli la giustizia.	3 Be a sheltering rock for me, always accessible; you have determined to save me, for you are my rock,my fortress.
4 Egli renderà giustizia ai poveri del popolo, salverà i figlioli dei poveri ed umilierà il calunniatore.	4 My God, rescue me from the clutches of the wicked, from the grasp of the rogue and the ruthless.
5 Durerà quanto il sole e la luna, di generazione in generazione.	5 For you are my hope, Lord, my trust, Yahweh, since boyhood.
6 Discenderà come pioggia su vello, come acqua a gocce a gocce sulla terra.	6 On you I have relied since my birth, since my mother's womb you have been my portion, the constanttheme of my praise.
7 Spunterà nei giorni di lui la giustizia e l'abbondanza della pace, finché non si spenga la luna.	7 Many were bewildered at me, but you are my sure refuge.
8 Dominerà da mare a mare e dal fiume fino alla estremità della terra.	8 My mouth is full of your praises, fil ed with your splendour all day long.
9 Dinanzi a lui si prostreranno gli Etiopi, e i suoi nemici leccheranno la polvere.	9 Do not reject me in my old age, nor desert me when my strength is failing,
10 Il re di Tarsi e le isole porteranno tributi e i re degli Arabi e di Saba offriranno doni,	10 for my enemies are discussing me, those with designs on my life are plotting together.
11 E lo adoreranno tutti i re della terra, tutti i popoli gli saran soggetti;	11 'Hound him down, for God has deserted him! Seize him, there is no one to rescue him.'
12 Perchè Egli libererà il povero dal potente, il povero che non ha aiuto.	12 God, do not stand aloof, my God, come quickly to help me.
13 Avrà pietà del povero e del bisognoso, e salverà la vita dei poveri.	13 Shame and ruin on those who slander me, may those intent on harming me be covered with insultand infamy.
14 Li libererà dalle usure e dalle ingiustizie, e sarà tenuto in onore davanti a lui il loro nome.	14 As for me, my hope wil never fade, I wil praise you more and more.
15 Egli vivrà, e gli sarà dato dell'oro dell'Arabia: sempre lo adoreranno, sempre lo benediranno.	15 My lips shal proclaim your saving justice, your saving power all day long.
16 E vi sarà sulla terra abbondanza di frumento, fin sulla vetta dei monti, al di sopra del Libano si alzeranno le sue spighe, e i cittadini fioriranno (moltiplicandosi) come l'erba dei prati.	16 I wil come in the power of Yahweh to tel of your justice, yours alone.
17 Sarà benedetto pei secoli il suo nome: avanti il sole esiste il suo nome. In lui saran benedette tutte le tribù della terra, tutte le genti lo glorificheranno.	17 God, you have taught me from boyhood, and I am still proclaiming your marvels.
18 Benedetto il Signore Dio d'Israele, il solo che opera maraviglie.	18 Now that I am old and grey-haired, God, do not desert me, til I have proclaimed your strength togenerations still to come, your power
19 E benedetto il nome della sua maestà in eterno. Sia ripiena della sua gloria tutta la terra. Cosi sia! Cosi sia!	19 and justice to the skies. You have done great things, God, who is like you?
20 Son finite le laudi di David figliolo di lesse.	20 You have shown me much misery and hardship, but you will give me life again, You will raise me upagain from the depths of the earth,
	21 prolong my old age, and comfort me again.
	22 For my part, I will thank you on the lyre for your constancy, my God. I wil play the harp in yourhonour, Holy One of Israel.
	23 My lips sing for joy as I play to you, because you have redeemed me,
	24 and al day long my tongue muses on your saving justice. Shame and disgrace on those intent toharm me!
