1 Queste son le tappe dei figli d'Israele che, divisi nelle loro schiere, uscirono dall'Egitto, sotto la guida di Mosè e di Aronne.	1 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
2 Mosè le notò secondo i luoghi degli accampamenti che essi cambiavano per comando di Dio.	2 And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.
3 Nel primo mese, ai quindici del primo mese, il giorno dopo pasqua, i figli d'Israele partirono da Ramesse, a mano alzata, alla vista di tutti gli Egiziani,	3 And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
4 che seppellivano i loro primogeniti, percossi dal Signore, il quale fe' piombare le sue vendette anche sopra i loro dèi.	4 For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.
5 S'accamparono in Soccot;	5 And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and pitched in Succoth.
6 da Soccot andarono a Etam, che è sul limitar del deserto.	6 And they departed from Succoth, and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.
7 Partiti da Etam, giunsero davanti a Fihahirot che guarda Beelsefon, e si accamparono dinanzi a Magdalo.	7 And they removed from Etham, and turned again unto Pi-hahiroth, which is before Baal-zephon: and they pitched before Migdol.
8 Partiti da Fihahirot, passarono per mezzo il mare, nel deserto, e dopo aver camminato tre giorni pel deserto di Eltam, posero il campo a Mara.	8 And they departed from before Pi-hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and pitched in Marah.
9 Partiti da Mara, andarono ad Elim, a dove eran dodici fontane e settanta palme, e vi si accamparono.	9 And they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve fountains of water, and threescore and ten palm trees; and they pitched there.
10 Partiti poi di là piantarono le tende lungo il Mar Rosso. Partiti dal Mar Rosso,	10 And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.
11 si accamparono nel deserto di Sin.	11 And they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.
12 Mossisi di lì, andarono a Dafca.	12 And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.
13 partiti da Dafca, si accamparono in Alus.	13 And they departed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.
14 Partiti da Alus, si accamparono in Rafidim, dove mancò al popolo l'acqua per bere.	14 And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.
15 Partiti da Rafidim, si accamparono nel deserto del Sinai.	15 And they departed from Rephidim, and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai.
16 Partiti dal deserto del Sinai, giunsero ai Sepolcri della concupiscenza.	16 And they removed from the desert of Sinai, and pitched at Kibroth-hattaavah.
17 Partiti dai Sepolcri della concupiscenza, s'accamparono in Haserot.	17 And they departed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.
18 Da Haserot andarono a Retma.	18 And they departed from Hazeroth, and pitched in Rithmah.
19 Partiti da Retma, si accamparon in Remmonfares;	19 And they departed from Rithmah, and pitched at Rimmon-parez.
20 di dove partiti andarono a Lebna;	20 And they departed from Rimmon-parez, and pitched in Libnah.
21 E da Lebna andarono a Ressa;	21 And they removed from Libnah, and pitched at Rissah.
22 partiti da Ressa, si accamparono in Ceelata.	22 And they journeyed from Rissah, and pitched in Kehelathah.
23 partiti da Ceelata, si accamparono al monte Sefer,	23 And they went from Kehelathah, and pitched in mount Shapher.
24 e dal monte Sefer andarono a Arada;	24 And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah.
25 di dove partiti s'accamparono in Macelot.	25 And they removed from Haradah, and pitched in Makheloth.
26 Da Macelot passarono a Tahat;	26 And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.
27 partiti da Tahat, si aaccamparono a Tare.	27 And they departed from Tahath, and pitched at Tarah.
28 partiti di là, piantarono le tende a Metca;	28 And they removed from Tarah, and pitched in Mithcah.
29 da Metca andarono a Hesmona;	29 And they went from Mithcah, and pitched in Hashmonah.
30 e partiti da Hesmoana, giunsero a Moserot.	30 And they departed from Hashmonah, and encamped at Moseroth.
31 Da Moserot andarono a Beneiaacan,	31 And they departed from Moseroth, and pitched in Bene-jaakan.
32 di dove partiti giunsero al monte Gadgad.	32 And they removed from Bene-jaakan, and encamped at Hor-hagidgad.
33 partiti di li si accamparono a Ietebata;	33 And they went from Hor-hagidgad, and pitched in Jotbathah.
34 da Ietebata andarono a Ebrona;	34 And they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Ebronah.
35 lasciata la quale, s'attendarono in Asiongaber.	35 And they departed from Ebronah, and encamped at Ezion-gaber.
36 Partiti di là giunsero nel deserto di Sin, cioè a Cades.	36 And they removed from Ezion-gaber, and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.
37 E partiti da Cades, si accamparono al monte Or, all'estremità dell'ldumea.	37 And they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.
38 E Aronne sacerdote salì, per ordine del Signore, sul monte Or, ove mori nel quarantesimo anno dopb l'uscita dei figli d'Israele dall'Egitto, nel quinto mese, al primo del mese,	38 And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.
39 mentre era nell'età di centoventitrè anni.	39 And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.
40 Fu allora che il Cananeo, re di Arad, il quale abitava verso il mezzogiorno, seppe come i figli d'Israele venissero nella terra di Canaan.	40 And king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.
41 Partiti poi dal monte Or, si accamparono a Salmona,	41 And they departed from mount Hor, and pitched in Zalmonah.
42 di dove partiti andarono a Funon;	42 And they departed from Zalmonah, and pitched in Punon.
43 partiti da Funon andarono a Obot,	43 And they departed from Punon, and pitched in Oboth.
44 e da Obot andarono a Ieabarim, che è ai confini dei Moabiti.	44 And they departed from Oboth, and pitched in Ije-abarim, in the border of Moab.
45 Partiti da Ieabarim, piantaron le tonde a Dibon Gad;	45 And they departed from Iim, and pitched in Dibon-gad.
46 di dove partiti andarono a Elmondeblataim.	46 And they removed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon-diblathaim.
47 Partiti di là, giunsero ai monti di Abarim, di faccia a Nabo.	47 And they removed from Almon-diblathaim, and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
48 Partitisi poi dai monti Abarim, passarono nelle pianure di Moab, sulle rive del Giordano, di faccia a Gerico;	48 And they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
49 ove si accamparono da Betsimot ad Abeslatim, nelle steppe di Moab.	49 And they pitched by Jordan, from Beth-jesimoth even unto Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.
50 Ivi il Signore disse a Mosè:	50 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
51 « Da' quest'ordine ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Quando avrete passato il Giordano e sarete entrati nella terra, di Canaan,	51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
52 sterminate tutti gli abitanti di quel paese, fate in pezzi i monumenti, riducete in polvere le statue, demolite tutti gli alti luoghi:	52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
53 purificate la terra e poi abitatela, perche ve l'ho data io in possesso.	53 And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
54 Ve la dividerete a sorte, dando una porzione maggiore a quelli che son più numerosi, una minore a quelli meno numerosi. Ognuno possederà ciò che gli sarà toccato in sorte. La divisione sarà fatta per tribù e per famiglie.	54 And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.
55 Ma se non ucciderete gli abitanti del paese, quelli che di loro resteranno diverran per voi come chiodi negli occhi e lance ai fianchi, e vi saran nemici nel paese che abiterete;	55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
56 io poi farò a voi tutto ciò che avevo pensato di fare a loro »	56 Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.
