BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Il saggio ricercherà la sapienza di tutti gli antichi e attenderà allo studio dei profeti.	1 Not so with one who concentrates his mind and his meditation on the Law of the Most High. Heresearches into the wisdom of al the Ancients, he occupies his time with the prophecies.
2 Raccoglierà i racconti degli uomini celebri e nel medesimo tempo penetrerà nelle sottigliezze delle parabole.	2 He preserves the discourses of famous men, he is at home with the niceties of parables.
3 Indagherà il recondito senso dei proverbi e si occuperà degli enimmi delle parabole.	3 He researches into the hidden sense of proverbs, he ponders the obscurities of parables.
4 Eserciterà il suo ministero in mezzo ai grandi, e comparirà dinanzi a chi governa.	4 He enters the service of princes, he is seen in the presence of rulers. He travels in foreign countries, hehas experienced human good and human evil.
5 Percorrerà paesi di nazioni straniere per far la prova del bene e del male che è tra gli uomini.	5 At dawn and with al his heart he turns to the Lord his Creator; he pleads in the presence of the MostHigh, he opens his mouth in prayer and makes entreaty for his sins.
6 Rivolgerà il suo cuore a vegliare fin dal mattino al Signore che l'ha fatto, e farà le sue preghiere davanti all'Altissimo.	6 If such be the wil of the great Lord, he wil be filled with the spirit of intel igence, he wil shower forthwords of wisdom, and in prayer give thanks to the Lord.
7 Aprirà la sua bocca nell'orazione e chiederà (perdono) per i suoi peccati.	7 He will grow upright in purpose and learning, he will ponder the Lord's hidden mysteries.
8 Se poi il gran Signore vorrà, lo riempirà dello spirito d'intelligenza,	8 He will display the instruction he has received, taking his pride in the Law of the Lord's covenant.
9 ed egli spanderà come pioggia gl'insegnamenti nella sua sapienza e nella preghiera darà lode ai Signore.	9 Many wil praise his intel igence and it wil never be forgotten. His memory will not disappear,generation after generation his name will live.
10 Il Signore dirigerà il suo consiglio e la sua scienza, ed egli ne mediterà i segreti.	10 Nations wil proclaim his wisdom, the assembly will celebrate his praises.
11 Egli esporrà pubblicamente la sua educatrice dottrina e metterà, la sua gloria nella legge dell'alleanza del Signore.	11 If he lives long, his name will be more glorious than a thousand others, and if he dies, that wil satisfyhim just as wel .

16 Seguiterò ancora a esporre, perchè son pieno di (sacro) furore.	16 'How wonderful, the actions of the Lord! Whatever he orders is done at the proper time!' You must notsay, 'What is this? Why is that?' There is a proper time for every question.
17 Con viva voce dice: Ascoltatemi, o divini germogli, e fruttificate come rose piantate lungo la corrente delle acque.	17 At his word, the water stops and piles up high, at his voice, the watery reservoirs take shape,
18 Come il Libano diffondete odore soave.	18 at his command, whatever he wants is done, no one can stop him, if he intends to save.
19 Buttate fiori, come gigli, effondete odori, mettete graziose fronde, cantate insieme il cantico e benedite il Signore nelle sue opere.	19 He can see whatever human beings are doing, nothing can be hidden from his eye;
20 Magnificate il suo nome, glorificatelo colle parole della vostra bocca, coi cantici delle vostre labbra, e sulle arpe celebratelo dicendo:	20 his gaze stretches from eternity to eternity, and nothing can astonish him.
21 Le opere del Signore son tutte molto buone.	21 You must not say, 'What is this? Why is that?' for everything has been made for a purpose.

30 Fin dal principio il bene fu creato per i buoni, così per i malvagi il bene e il male.	30 Wild animals' fangs, scorpions, vipers, the avenging sword for the ruin of the godless:
31 Le cose più necessarie alla vita dell'uomo, l'acqua, il fuoco, il ferro, il sale, il latte, il pane di fior di farina, il miele, il grappolo dell'uva, l'olio, le vesti,	31 all of them exult in discharging his orders, ready on earth whenever the need arises and, when theirtime comes, not fal ing short of his word.

38 Per questo fin da principio ne restai persuaso, tenni meco consiglio, riflettei e ho lasciato scritto.
39 Tutte le opere del Signore sono buone, e ciascuna opera a suo tempo servirà a qualche cosa.
40 Non si può dire: « Questa cosa è peggiore di quella », perchè tutte le cose a loro tempo saran trovate buone.
41 Or voi con tutto il cuore e colla bocca lodate insieme e benedite il nome del Signore.
