2 Signore, nel tuo furore non mi castigare, nell'ira tua non mi punire!	2 O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your anger.
3 Pietà di me, Signore, perché sono infermo; risanami, Signore, perché sconquassate son le mie ossa.	3 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones have become disturbed,
4 E l'anima mia è grandemente sconvolta. Ma tu, Signore, fino a quando... ?	4 and my soul has been very troubled. But as for you, Lord, when?
5 Volgiti, o Signore, e liberami, salvami per la tua misericordia.	5 Turn to me, Lord, and rescue my soul. Save me because of your mercy.
6 Perché non v'è nella morte chi si ricordi di te, e negli Inferi chi ti renda lode?	6 For there is no one in death who would be mindful of you. And who will confess to you in Hell?
7 Sfinito io sono a cagion del mio genere; bagno [di pianto] ogni notte il mio letto, di lagrime inondo il mio giaciglio;	7 I have labored in my groaning. Every night, with my tears, I will wash my bed and drench my blanket.
8 è turbato per la passione il mio occhio, mi son fatto vecchio fra tanti miei nemici.	8 My eye has been troubled by rage. I have grown old among all my enemies.
9 Via da me, voi tutti operatori d'iniquità! Perchè ha udito il Signore la voce del mio pianto,	9 Scatter before me, all you who work iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
10 ha udito il Signore la mia supplica, il Signore ha accolto la mia preghiera.	10 The Lord has heard my supplication. The Lord has accepted my prayer.
11 Sian scornati e grandemente atterriti i miei nemici, sian volti in fuga e scornati tutt'a un tratto.	11 Let all my enemies be ashamed and together be greatly troubled. May they be converted and become ashamed very quickly.
