BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Questa è la discendenza di Sem, Cam e Iafet, figli di Noè; nacquero ad essi dei figli dopo il diluvio.	1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, to whom sons were born afterthe flood:
2 Figli di Iafet furono: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Iavan, Tubal, Mosoc e Tiras.	2 Japheth's sons: Gomer, Magog, the Medes, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Tiras.
3 Figli di Gomer: Ascenez, Rifat e Togorma.	3 Gomer's sons: Ashkenaz, Riphath, Togarmah.
4 Figli di Iavan: Elisa e Tarsis, Cettim e Dodanim.	4 Javan's sons: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, the Dananites.
5 Si divisero questi le isole delle genti nelle proprie regioni, ciascuno secondo la sua lingua, le sue famiglie, la sua nazione.	5 From these came the dispersal to the islands of the nations. These were Japheth's sons, in theirrespective countries, each with its own language, by clan and nation.
6 Figli di Cam: Cus, Mesraim, Fut e Canaan.	6 Ham's sons: Cush, Mizraim, Put, Canaan.
7 Figli di Cus: Saba, Hevila, Sabata, Regma e Sabataca. Figli di Regma: Saba e Dadan.	7 Cush's sons: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, Sabteca. Raamah's sons: Sheba, Dedan.
8 Cus poi generò Nemrod; questi fu il primo che divenne potente sulla terra,	8 Cush fathered Nimrod who was the first potentate on earth.
9 ed era forte cacciatore innanzi al Signore. Perciò n'è venuto il proverbio: «Cacciatore forte come Nemrod innanzi al Signore».	9 He was a mighty hunter in the eyes of Yahweh, hence the saying, 'Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter in theeyes of Yahweh'.
10 Il suo regno fu da principio Babilonia, Arac, Acad e Calanne, nella terra di Sennaar.	10 The mainstays of his empire were Babel, Erech and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.
11 Da quella terra uscì in Assur, e vi edificò Ninive e le piazze della città, e Cale;	11 From this country came Asshur, and he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,
12 poi ancora Resen fra Ninive e Cale, ed è una gran città.	12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (this being the capital).
13 Mesraim poi originò Ludim, Anamim, Laabim, Neftuim,	13 Mizraim fathered the people of Lud, of Anam, Lehab, Naphtuh,
14 Fetrusim e Casluim, dei quali derivarono Filistiim e Caftorim.	14 Pathros, Casluh and Caphtor, from which the Philistines came.
15 Canaan poi generò Sidone suo primogenito, l'Heteo,	15 Canaan fathered Sidon, his first-born, then Heth,
16 il Jebuseo, l'Amorreo, il Gergeseo,	16 and the Jebusites, the Amorites, Girgashites,
17 l'Heveo, l'Araceo, il Sineo,	17 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,
18 l'Aradeo, il Samareo e l'Amateo; poi si dispersero i popoli Cananei.	18 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites. Later, the Canaanite clans spread out.
19 Ed i confini dei Cananei furono: da Sidone venendo verso Gerara, sino a Gaza; e venendo verso Sodoma, Gomorra, Adama e Seboim sino a Lesa.	19 The Canaanite frontier stretched from Sidon al the way to Gerar near Gaza, and al the way toSodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboi m near Lesha.
20 Questi sono i figli di Cam, nelle loro parentele, lingue, generazioni, terre e genti.	20 These were Ham's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.
21 Da Sem poi, stipite di tutta la discendenza di Heber, e fratello maggiore di Iafet, nacquero pure dei figli.	21 Shem too fathered sons, being ancestor of all the sons of Eber and Japheth's elder brother.
22 Figli di Sem: Elam, Assur, Arfaad, Lud e Aram.	22 Shem's sons: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram.
23 Figli di Aram: Us, Hul, Geter e Mes.	23 Aram's sons: Uz, Hul, Gether and Mash.
24 Arfaad poi generò Sale, dal quale nacque Heber.	24 Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.
25 Nacquero poi ad Heber due figli; il nome di uno fu Faleg, perchè a' suoi giorni la terra fu spartita; e il nome del fratello, Iectan.	25 To Eber were born two sons: the first was cal ed Peleg, because it was in his time that the earth wasdivided, and his brother was called Joktan.
26 Il quale Iectan generò Elmodad, Salef, Asarmot, Iare,	26 Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 Aduram, Uzal, Decla,	27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28 Ebal, Abimael, Saba,	28 Obal, Abima-El, Sheba,
29 Ofir, Hevila e Iobab; tutti questi figli di Iectam.	29 Ophir, Havilah, Jobab; al these were sons of Joktan.
30 La regione da essi abitata s'estendeva da Messa fino al monte orientale di Sefar.	30 They occupied a stretch of country from Mesha all the way to Sephar, the eastern mountain range.
31 Questi sono i figli di Sem, secondo le loro famiglie, lingue, regioni, e genti.	31 These were Shem's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.
32 Son queste le discendenze da Noè, secondo i loro popoli e nazioni. Da esse si diramarono sulla terra le genti, dopo il diluvio.	32 Such were the clans of Noah's descendants, listed by descent and nation. From them, other nationsbranched out on earth after the flood.
