1 Alleluia. Cantate al Signore un canto nuovo; la sua lode nell'assemblea dei fedeli.	1 Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song, a hymn in the assembly of the faithful.
2 Gioisca Israele nel suo Creatore, esultino nel loro Re i figli di Sion.	2 Let Israel be glad in their maker, the people of Zion rejoice in their king.
3 Lodino il suo nome con danze, con timpani e cetre gli cantino inni.	3 Let them praise his name in festive dance, make music with tambourine and lyre.
4 Il Signore ama il suo popolo, incorona gli umili di vittoria.	4 For the LORD takes delight in his people, honors the poor with victory.
5 Esultino i fedeli nella gloria, sorgano lieti dai loro giacigli.	5 Let the faithful rejoice in their glory, cry out for joy at their banquet,
6 Le lodi di Dio sulla loro bocca e la spada a due tagli nelle loro mani,	6 With the praise of God in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hands,
7 per compiere la vendetta tra i popoli e punire le genti;	7 To bring retribution on the nations, punishment on the peoples,
8 per stringere in catene i loro capi, i loro nobili in ceppi di ferro;	8 To bind their kings with chains, shackle their nobles with irons,
9 per eseguire su di essi il giudizio già scritto: questa è la gloria per tutti i suoi fedeli. Alleluia.	9 To execute the judgments decreed for them-- such is the glory of all God's faithful. Hallelujah!
