1 Halleluja! Lobt den Namen des Herrn, lobt ihn, ihr Knechte des Herrn,	1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.
2 die ihr steht im Haus des Herrn, in den Vorhöfen am Haus unsres Gottes.	2 Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,
3 Lobt den Herrn, denn der Herr ist gütig. Singt und spielt seinem Namen, denn er ist freundlich.	3 Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
4 Der Herr hat sich Jakob erwählt, Israel wurde sein Eigentum.	4 For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.
5 Ja, das weiß ich: Groß ist der Herr, unser Herr ist größer als alle Götter.	5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
6 Alles, was dem Herrn gefällt, vollbringt er, im Himmel, auf der Erde, in den Meeren, in allen Tiefen.	6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
7 Er führt Wolken herauf vom Ende der Erde, er lässt es blitzen und regnen, aus seinen Kammern holt er den Sturmwind hervor.	7 He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
8 Er erschlug Ägyptens Erstgeburt, bei Menschen und beim Vieh.	8 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
9 Gegen dich, Ägypten, sandte er Zeichen und Wunder, gegen den Pharao und all seine Knechte.	9 Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
10 Er schlug viele Völker nieder und tötete mächtige Könige:	10 Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;
11 Sihon, den König der Amoriter, Og, den König von Baschan, und alle Reiche Kanaans.	11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
12 Ihr Land gab er Israel zum Erbe, zum Erbe Israel, seinem Volk.	12 And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.
13 Herr, dein Name währt ewig, das Gedenken an dich, Herr, dauert von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht.	13 Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.
14 Denn der Herr verschafft Recht seinem Volk; er hat mit seinen Knechten Mitleid.	14 For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.
15 Die Götzen der Heiden sind nur Silber und Gold, ein Machwerk von Menschenhand.	15 The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
16 Sie haben einen Mund und reden nicht, Augen und sehen nicht;	16 They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
17 sie haben Ohren und hören nicht; auch ist kein Hauch in ihrem Mund.	17 They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
18 Die sie gemacht haben, sollen ihrem Machwerk gleichen, alle, die den Götzen vertrauen.	18 They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.
19 Haus Israel, preise den Herrn! Haus Aaron, preise den Herrn!	19 Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:
20 Haus Levi, preise den Herrn! Alle, die ihr den Herrn fürchtet, preist den Herrn!	20 Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.
21 Gepriesen sei der Herr auf Zion, er, der thront in Jerusalem. Halleluja!	21 Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
