1 ( Cantico di David, quando si edificava, il tempio dopo la cattività). Cantate al Signore un cantico nuovo, canti al Signore tutta la terra.	1 A Canticle of David himself, when the house was built after the captivity. Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Cantate al Signore e benedite il suo nome, annunziate di giorno in giorno la salvezza che da lui procede.	2 Sing to the Lord and bless his name. Announce his salvation from day to day.
3 Proclamate fra le genti la sua gloria, e a tutti i popoli le sue maraviglie.	3 Announce his glory among the Gentiles, his miracles among all peoples.
4 Perchè grande è il Signore e degno d'ogni lode, terribile sopra tutti gli dèi;	4 For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised. He is terrible, beyond all gods.
5 Chè gli dèi delle genti non son che demoni; invece il Signore ha creati i cieli.	5 For all the gods of the Gentiles are demons, but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Gloria o splendore gli stan davanti, santità e magnificenza son nel suo santuario.	6 Confession and beauty are in his sight. Sanctity and magnificence are in his sanctuary.
7 Date al Signore, o stirpi di popoli, date al Signore gloria ed onore.	7 Bring to the Lord, you natives of the nations, bring to the Lord glory and honor.
8 Date al Signore la gloria dovuta al suo nomo, prendete le vittime ed entrate negli atrii di lui:	8 Bring to the Lord glory for his name. Lift up sacrifices, and enter into his courts.
9 Adorate il Signore nel suo atrio santo: fremi dinanzi a lui tutta la terra.	9 Adore the Lord in his holy court. Let the entire earth be shaken before his face.
10 Dite tra le nazioni: « Ii Signore regna, Egli ha resa stabile la terra, che non vacillerà, giudicherà i popoli con giustizia.	10 Say among the Gentiles: The Lord has reigned. For he has even corrected the whole world, which will not be shaken. He will judge the peoples with fairness.
11 Si rallegrino i cieli ed esulti la terra, si commuova il mare con tutto ciò che lo riempie,	11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth exult; let the sea and all its fullness be moved.
12 Tripudino le campagne e quanto vi ha in esse; e plaudano tutti gli alberi delle selve	12 The fields and all the things that are in them will be glad. Then all the trees of the forest will rejoice
13 Davanti al Signore, perchè viene, perchè viene a giudicare la terra. Giudicherà con equità il mondo e nella sua verità i popoli ».	13 before the face of the Lord: for he arrives. For he arrives to judge the earth. He will judge the whole world with fairness and the peoples with his truth.
