1 Hic est liber generationis Adam. In die qua creavit Deus homi nem, ad similitudinem Dei fecit illum.	1 This is the book of the generation of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him to the likeness of God.
2 Masculum et feminam creavit eos et benedixit illis; et vocavit nomen eorum Adam in die, quo creati sunt.	2 He created them male and female; and blessed them: and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
3 Vixit autem Adam centum triginta annis et genuit ad similitudinem et imaginem suam vocavitque nomen eius Seth.	3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son to his own image and likeness, and called his name Seth.
4 Et facti sunt dies Adam, postquam genuit Seth, octingenti anni, genuitque filios et filias.	4 And the days of Adam, after he begot Seth, were eight hundred years: and he begot sons and daughters.
5 Et factum est omne tempus, quod vixit Adam, anni nongenti triginta, et mortuus est.	5 And all the time that Adam lived came to nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
6 Vixit quoque Seth centum quinque annos et genuit Enos.	6 Seth also lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enos.
7 Vixitque Seth, postquam genuit Enos, octingentis septem annis genuitque filios et filias.	7 And Seth lived after he begot Enos, eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.
8 Et facti sunt omnes dies Seth nongentorum duodecim annorum, et mortuus est.	8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
9 Vixit vero Enos nonaginta annis et genuit Cainan.	9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begot Cainan.
10 Et vixit Enos, postquam genuit Cainan, octingentis quindecim annis et genuit filios et filias.	10 After whose birth he lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.
11 Factique sunt omnes dies Enos nongentorum quinque annorum, et mortuus est.	11 And the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
12 Vixit quoque Cainan septuaginta annis et genuit Malaleel.	12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Malaleel.
13 Et vixit Cainan, postquam genuit Malaleel, octingentos quadraginta annos genuitque filios et filias.	13 And Cainan lived after he begot Malaleel, eight hundred forty years, and begot sons and daughters.
14 Et facti sunt omnes dies Cainan nongenti decem anni, et mortuus est.	14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.
15 Vixit autem Malaleel sexaginta quinque annos et genuit Iared.	15 And Malaleel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared.
16 Et vixit Malaleel, postquam genuit Iared, octingentis triginta annis et genuit filios et filias.	16 And Malaleel lived after he begot Jared, eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.
17 Et facti sunt omnes dies Malaleel octingenti nonaginta quinque anni, et mortuus est.	17 And all the days of Malaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.
18 Vixitque Iared centum sexaginta duobus annis et genuit Henoch.	18 And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Henoch.
19 Et vixit Iared, postquam genuit Henoch, octingentos annos et genuit filios et filias.	19 And Jared lived after he begot Henoch, eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
20 Et facti sunt omnes dies Iared nongenti sexaginta duo anni, et mortuus est.	20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.
21 Porro Henoch vixit sexaginta quinque annis et genuit Mathusalam.	21 And Henoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Mathusala.
22 Et ambulavit Henoch cum Deo, postquam genuit Mathusalam, trecentis annis et genuit filios et filias.	22 And Henoch walked with God: and lived after he begot Mathusala, three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
23 Et facti sunt omnes dies Henoch trecenti sexaginta quinque anni,	23 And all the days of Henoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 ambulavitque cum Deo et non apparuit, quia tulit eum Deus.	24 And he walked with God, and was seen no more: because God took him.
25 Vixit quoque Mathusala centum octoginta septem annos et genuit Lamech.	25 And Mathusala lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech.
26 Et vixit Mathusala, postquam genuit Lamech, septingentos octoginta duos annos et genuit filios et filias.	26 And Mathusala lived after he begot Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters.
27 Et facti sunt omnes dies Mathusalae nongenti sexaginta novem anni, et mortuus est.	27 And all the days of Mathusala were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.
28 Vixit autem Lamech centum octoginta duobus annis et genuit filium	28 And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.
29 vocavitque nomen eius Noe dicens: “Iste consolabitur nos ab operibus nostris et labore manuum nostrarum in agro, cui maledixit Dominus”.	29 And he called his name Noe, saying: This same shall comfort us from the works and labours of our hands on the earth which the Lord hath cursed.
30 Vixitque Lamech, postquam genuit Noe, quingentos nonaginta quinque annos et genuit filios et filias.	30 And Lamech lived after he begot Noe, five hundred and ninety-five years, and he begot sons and daughters.
31 Et facti sunt omnes dies Lamech septingenti septuaginta septem anni, et mortuus est.	31 And all the days of Lamech came to seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died. And Noe, when he was five hundred years old, begot Sem, Cham, and Japheth.
32 Noe vero, cum quingentorum esset annorum, genuit Sem, Cham et Iapheth.
