1 Questa è la posterità dei figli di Noè: Sem, Cam e lafet, ai quali nacquero dei figlioli dopo il diluvio.	1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
2 Figli di Iafet: Corner, Magog, Madai, Iavan, Tubal, Mosoc e Tiras.	2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3 Figli di Gomer: Ascenez, Rifat e Togorma.	3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 Figli di Ivaan: Elisa, Tarsis, Cettim e Dodanim.	4 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5 E questi si divisero le isole delle genti nelle diverse regioni, ciascuno secondo la loro lingua e famiglia e nazione.	5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
6 Figli di Cam: Cus, Mesraim, Fut e Canaan.	6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
7 Figli di Cus: Saba, Evila, Sabata, Regina e Sabataca. Figli di Regina: Saba e Dadan.	7 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
8 Cus generò anche Nemtod, il quale cominciò ad esser potente sulla terra.	8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9 Egli fu gran cacciatore nel cospetto del Signore, tanto che ne nacque il proverbio: « Gran cacciatore nel cospetto del Signore come Nemrod ».	9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
10 Principio del suo regno fu Babilonia, Arac, Achad e Calanne, nella terra di Sennaar.	10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 Dalla qual terra andò in Assiria, ove edificò Ninive, le piazze della città e Chale,	11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
12 e tra Ninive e Chale, anche Resen, la gran città.	12 And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.
13 Mesraim poi generò Ludim, Anamim, Laabim, Neftuim,	13 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
14 Fetrusim e Casluim (dai quali vennero i Filistei) e Caftorim.	14 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.
15 Canaan poi generò Sidone suo primogenito, l'Eteo,	15 And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
16 il Gebuseo, l'Amorreo, il Gergeseo,	16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,
17 l'Eveo, l'Araceo, il Sineo,	17 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
18 d'Aradeo, il Samareo, l'Amateo. Di poi i popoli dei Cananei si sparsero.	18 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
19 E i confini di Canaan andarono da Sidone, verso Gerara, fino a Gaza, e, verso Sodoma e Gomorra e Adama e Seboim, fino a Lesa.	19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
20 Questi sono i figlioli di Cam, secondo le loro famiglie, le lingue, le generazioni, i paesi e le nazioni.	20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
21 Anche a Sem, padre di tutti i figlioli di Eber, e fratello maggiore di Iafet, nacquero dei figli.	21 Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
22 Figli di Sem: Elam, Assur, Arfaxad, Lud e Aram.	22 The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23 Figli di Aram: Us, Hul, Geter e Mes.	23 And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24 Arfaxad poi generò Sale, da cui venne Eber.	24 And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
25 E da Eber nacquero due figlioli: uno si chiamò Faleg, perchè a suo tempo fu divisa la terra; e il fratello di lui ebbe nome Iectan.	25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
26 E Iectan generò Elmodad, Salef, Asarmot, Lare,	26 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazar-maveth, and Jerah,
27 Aduram, Uzal, Decla,	27 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
28 Ebal, Abimael, Saba,	28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
29 Otir, Evila, Iobab. Tutti questi sono i figlioli di Iectan;	29 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.
30 ed il paese che abitarono si estende da Messa a Sefar, al monte orientale.	30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.
31 Questi sono i figli di Sem secondo le loro famiglie, lingue, paesi e nazioni.	31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
32 Queste sono le famiglie di Noè secondo i loro popoli e le loro nazioni, dalle quali uscirono le diverse nazioni della terra dopo il diluvio.	32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
