Isaia 22

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Vaticinio sulla Valle della Visione. Che hai tu dunque, che sei salita sulle terrazze tutta quanta?	1 Prophecy on the Valley of Vision: Now what is the matter with you for you al to be up on thehousetops,
2 Chiassosa, affollata città, città tripudiante: i tuoi uccisi non son periti di spada, nè caduti in battaglia.	2 ful of excitement, boisterous town, joyful city? Your slain have not fal en to the sword nor died in battle.
3 Sono fuggiti tutti insieme i tuoi principi; furon presi e messi in duri ceppi, tutti quelli che sono stati trovati vennero ugualmente fatti prigionieri nei luoghi remoti dove s'erano rifugiati.	3 Your leaders have al fled together, captured without a bow between them, al who could be found havebeen captured at a blow, far though they had fled.
4 Per questo io ho detto: «Ritiratevi da me, lasciatemi piangere amaramente; è inutile che vi adoperiate per consolarmi sulla rovina della figlia del popolo mio!».	4 That is why I said, 'Turn your eyes away from me, let me weep bitterly; do not try to comfort me overthe ruin of the daughter of my people.'
5 Perchè è giorno di carneficina e di calpestamento e di pianto, mandato dal Signore Dio degli eserciti nella Valle della Visione; giorno che assaggerà la forza delle mura; [s'ode] clamore sulla montagna!	5 For this is a day of rout, panic and confusion, the work of the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth in the Val ey ofVision. The wal is sapped, cries for help ring out to the mountains.
6 Ed Elam ha raccolto la faretra e carri con uomini a cavallo, e ha staccato dalla parete lo scudo.	6 Elam has picked up his quiver, with manned chariots and horsemen, and Kir has bared his shield.
7 E le tue valli amene saranno piene di carri da guerra, e la cavalleria campeggerà alla tua porta.	7 Your fairest val eys are full of chariots and the horsemen take up positions at the gates;
8 E sarà rimosso il velo di Giuda. In quel giorno tu riguarderai verso l'armeria della Casa del bosco,	8 thus falls the defence of Judah. That day you turned your gaze to the weapons in the House of theForest.
9 e farete ispezione delle rotture della città di David, che sono molte; voi avete raccolte le acque della piscina inferiore;	9 You saw how many breaches there were in the City of David. You col ected the waters of the lowerpool.
10 e contate le case di Gerusalemme, e demolite le abitazioni per fortificare le mura;	10 You surveyed the houses in Jerusalem and pul ed houses down to strengthen the wal .
11 e avete fatto un bacino tra due muri, per l'acqua della piscina vecchia; ma non avete riguardato a colui che fece ciò, nè avete visto chi preparò ciò da lungi.	11 Between the two wal s you made a reservoir for the waters of the old pool. But you did not look to theCreator of these things, you did not look to the One who fashioned them long ago.
12 Il Signore Dio degli eserciti chiamerà in quel giorno al pianto e al lutto, a scalvarsi e a cingere il sacco!	12 That day the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth cal ed on you to weep and mourn, to shave your heads, to put onsackcloth.
13 E intanto, ecco gioia e allegria d'ammazzare vitelli, scannar capretti, mangiar carne e bere vino: «Mangiamo e beviamo che domani morremo!».	13 But instead there is joy and merriment, killing of oxen, slaughtering of sheep, eating of meat, drinkingof wine, 'Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shal be dead.'
14 Ma s'è rivelata alle mie orecchie la voce del Signore degli eserciti. «Vi assicuro che non sarà rimessa a voi questa iniquità finchè non moriate», dice il Signore Dio degli eserciti.	14 Then Yahweh Sabaoth revealed this to my ears, 'This guilt wil never be forgiven you, until you aredead,' says the Lord Yahweh Sabaoth.
15 Il Signore Dio degli eserciti dice così: «Va', recati da cotesto ministro, da Sobna, maggiordomo della reggia, e gli dirai:	15 The Lord Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Go and find that steward, Shebna, the master of the palace:
16 - Che cosa hai da fare tu qui, e per chi ti tieni tu qui, che ti sei qui scavato un sepolcro, ti sei fatto intagliare con arte un monumento in alto, nel vivo masso una dimora?	16 'What do you own here, who gave you the right for you to hew yourself a tomb here?' He is hewinghimself a tomb, is digging a resting-place for himself in the rock.
17 Ecco che il Signore ti farà portar via, come si porta un gallo domestico, ti solleverà come si solleva un involto.	17 But Yahweh wil throw you away, strong as you are, wil grasp you in his grip,
18 Ti cingerà una corona di tribolazione, e come una palla ti sbalzerà in una terra larga e spaziosa: ivi morrai, ivi sarà il carro della tua gloria, in onta alla casa del tuo signore.	18 will screw you up into a bal , a ball thrown into a vast space. There you will die, with your splendidchariots, disgrace to your master's palace!
19 E io ti scaccerò dal tuo posto e ti deporrò dal tuo ufficio.	19 I shal hound you from your office, I shal snatch you from your post
20 E avverrà che in quel giorno, io chiamerò il mio servo Eliacim, figlio di Elcia,	20 and, when that day comes, I shal summon my servant Eliakim son of Hilkiah.
21 e lo rivestirò della tua tunica, e lo rafforzerò colla tua cintura, e la potestà tua metterò in mano di lui; e sarà come patrono agli abitanti di Gerusalemme e alla casa di Giuda.	21 I shal dress him in your tunic, I shal put your sash round his waist, I shall invest him with yourauthority; and he wil be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the House of Judah.
22 E metterò sulla sua spalla la chiave della casa di David; egli aprirà, e nessuno chiuderà; egli chiuderà, e nessuna aprirà.	22 I shal place the key of David's palace on his shoulder; when he opens, no one will close, when hecloses, no one wil open.
23 E lo pianterò come un cavicchio piantato nel solido, e sarà trono di gloria alla casa di suo padre.	23 I shal drive him like a nail into a firm place; and he wil become a throne of glory for his family.
24 E sospenderanno a quello tutta la gloria della casa di suo padre, arnesi di varie sorta, piccoli attrezzi d'ogni genere, dalla suppellettile dei crateri fino a tutti gli strumenti musicali -».	24 'On him wil depend al the glory of his family, the descendants and offspring, al the vessels of smalcapacity too, from cups to pitchers.
25 In quel giorno, dice il Signore degli eserciti, cederà il cavicchio ch'era stato piantato sul solido, e si spezzerà e cadrà; e tutto ciò che a quello era sospeso rovinerà perchè il Signore ha parlato.	25 That day, declares Yahweh Sabaoth, the nail driven into a firm place wil give way, wil be torn out andfal . And the whole load hanging on it will be lost. For Yahweh has spoken.'
