EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	NEW JERUSALEM
1 [Für den Chormeister. Von den Korachitern. Nach der Weise «Mädchen». Ein Lied.]	1 [For the choirmaster Of the sons of Korah For oboe Song] God is both refuge and strength for us, ahelp always ready in trouble;
2 Gott ist uns Zuflucht und Stärke, ein bewährter Helfer in allen Nöten.	2 so we shall not be afraid though the earth be in turmoil, though mountains tumble into the depths ofthe sea,
3 Darum fürchten wir uns nicht, wenn die Erde auch wankt, wenn Berge stürzen in die Tiefe des Meeres,	3 and its waters roar and seethe, and the mountains totter as it heaves. (Yahweh Sabaoth is with us, ourcitadel, the God of Jacob.)Pause
4 wenn seine Wasserwogen tosen und schäumen und vor seinem Ungestüm die Berge erzittern. Der Herr der Heerscharen ist mit uns, der Gott Jakobs ist unsre Burg. [Sela]	4 There is a river whose streams bring joy to God's city, it sanctifies the dwel ing of the Most High.
5 Die Wasser eines Stromes erquicken die Gottesstadt, des Höchsten heilige Wohnung.	5 God is in the city, it cannot fal ; at break of day God comes to its rescue.
6 Gott ist in ihrer Mitte, darum wird sie niemals wanken; Gott hilft ihr, wenn der Morgen anbricht.	6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms are tumbling, when he raises his voice the earth crumbles away.
7 Völker toben, Reiche wanken, es dröhnt sein Donner, da zerschmilzt die Erde.	7 Yahweh Sabaoth is with us, our citadel, the God of Jacob. Pause
8 Der Herr der Heerscharen ist mit uns, der Gott Jakobs ist unsre Burg. [Sela]	8 Come, consider the wonders of Yahweh, the astounding deeds he has done on the earth;
9 Kommt und schaut die Taten des Herrn, der Furchtbares vollbringt auf der Erde.	9 he puts an end to wars over the whole wide world, he breaks the bow, he snaps the spear, shields heburns in the fire.
10 Er setzt den Kriegen ein Ende bis an die Grenzen der Erde; er zerbricht die Bogen, zerschlägt die Lanzen, im Feuer verbrennt er die Schilde.	10 'Be stil and acknowledge that I am God, supreme over nations, supreme over the world.'
11 «Lasst ab und erkennt, dass ich Gott bin, erhaben über die Völker, erhaben auf Erden.»	11 Yahweh Sabaoth is with us, our citadel, the God of Jacob.Pause
