Psalmen 116

EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Ich liebe den Herrn; denn er hat mein lautes Flehen gehört	1 I love the LORD, who listened to my voice in supplication,
2 und sein Ohr mir zugeneigt an dem Tag, als ich zu ihm rief.	2 Who turned an ear to me on the day I called.
3 Mich umfingen die Fesseln des Todes, mich befielen die Ängste der Unterwelt, mich trafen Bedrängnis und Kummer.	3 I was caught by the cords of death; the snares of Sheol had seized me; I felt agony and dread.
4 Da rief ich den Namen des Herrn an: «Ach Herr, rette mein Leben!»	4 Then I called on the name of the LORD, "O LORD, save my life!"
5 Der Herr ist gnädig und gerecht, unser Gott ist barmherzig.	5 Gracious is the LORD and just; yes, our God is merciful.
6 Der Herr behütet die schlichten Herzen; ich war in Not und er brachte mir Hilfe.	6 The LORD protects the simple; I was helpless, but God saved me.
7 Komm wieder zur Ruhe, mein Herz! Denn der Herr hat dir Gutes getan.	7 Return, my soul, to your rest; the LORD has been good to you.
8 Ja, du hast mein Leben dem Tod entrissen, meine Tränen (getrocknet), meinen Fuß (bewahrt vor) dem Gleiten.	8 For my soul has been freed from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
9 So gehe ich meinen Weg vor dem Herrn im Land der Lebenden.	9 I shall walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 Voll Vertrauen war ich, auch wenn ich sagte: Ich bin so tief gebeugt.	10 I kept faith, even when I said, "I am greatly afflicted!"
11 In meiner Bestürzung sagte ich: Die Menschen lügen alle.	11 I said in my alarm, "No one can be trusted!"
12 Wie kann ich dem Herrn all das vergelten, was er mir Gutes getan hat?	12 How can I repay the LORD for all the good done for me?
13 Ich will den Kelch des Heils erheben und anrufen den Namen des Herrn.	13 I will raise the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.
14 Ich will dem Herrn meine Gelübde erfüllen offen vor seinem ganzen Volk.	14 I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.
15 Kostbar ist in den Augen des Herrn das Sterben seiner Frommen.	15 Too costly in the eyes of the LORD is the death of his faithful.
16 Ach Herr, ich bin doch dein Knecht, dein Knecht bin ich, der Sohn deiner Magd. Du hast meine Fesseln gelöst.	16 LORD, I am your servant, your servant, the child of your maidservant; you have loosed my bonds.
17 Ich will dir ein Opfer des Dankes bringen und anrufen den Namen des Herrn.	17 I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD.
18 Ich will dem Herrn meine Gelübde erfüllen offen vor seinem ganzen Volk,	18 I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people,
19 in den Vorhöfen am Haus des Herrn, in deiner Mitte, Jerusalem. Halleluja!	19 In the courts of the house of the LORD, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
