1 Farai anche un altare per bruciarvi i timiami di legno di setim,	1 “You shall also make an altar, for the burning of incense, from setim wood,
2 Il quale avrà un cubito di lunghezza, e uno di larghezza, vale a dire, sarà quadro; e avrà due cubiti d'altezza. Spunteranno da esso i suoi corni.	2 having one cubit in length, and another in width, that is, four equal sides, and two cubits in height. Horns shall proceed from the same.
3 E lo rivestirai d'oro finissimo tanto la sua graticola, come i lati all'intorno, e i corni. E gli farai una piccola corona d'oro, che girerà intorno ad esso,	3 And you shall clothe it with the purest gold, both its grating and the walls around it, and also the horns. And you shall make for it a crown of gold in a circle,
4 E due anelli d'oro sotto la corona a ciascuno de' lati per passarvi le stanghe, affinché possa l'altare portarsi.	4 and two gold rings under the crown on each side, so that the bars may be set in them and the altar may be carried.
5 Le stanghe ancora le farai di legno di setim, e le coprirai d'oro.	5 Also, you shall make its bars of setim wood, and you shall overlay them with gold.
6 E collocherai l'altare dirimpetto al velo, che pende dinanzi all'arca del testimonio innanzi al propiziatorio, che cuopre l'arca del testimonio, dove io a te parlerò.	6 And you shall set the altar opposite the veil, which hangs in front of the ark of the testimony, before the propitiatory with which the testimony is covered, where I will speak to you.
7 E Aronne brucerà sopra di quello i profumi di soave fragranza ogni mattina. Li brucerà nel tempo, che accomoderà le lucerne:	7 And Aaron shall burn incense upon it, a sweet fragrance, in the morning. When he lights the lamps, he shall burn it.
8 E quando le rimetterà alla sera, brucerà sempre i timiani dinanzi al Signore per tutte le vostre generazioni.	8 And when he assembles them in the evening, he shall burn an everlasting incense before the Lord throughout your generations.
9 Non offrirete sopra di esso alcun timiama di straniera composizione, né obblazione alcuna, né vittima, né vi farete libagioni.	9 You shall not offer upon it incense of another composition, nor an oblation, nor a victim; neither shall you offer libations.
10 Una volta l'anno Aronne farà l’espiazione de' corni dell'altare col sangue offerto pel peccato, e con questo placherà (Dio) per tutte le generazioni vostre. Sarà cosa santissima dinanzi al Signore.	10 And Aaron shall pray over its horns once a year, with the blood of what was offered for sin. And he shall make atonement over it in your generations. It shall be the Holy of holies to the Lord.”
11 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:	11 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
12 Quando avrai fatto il conto de' figliuoli d'Israele, ciascheduno compreso in questo numero darà al Signore il prezzo del suo riscatto, e non saranno soggetti a flagello, quando saranno stati censiti.	12 “When you have taken the sum of the sons of Israel, according to their number, each shall give a price for their souls to the Lord, and there will be no scourge among them, when they will be reviewed.
13 Or tutti que' che saranno descritti, daranno la metà d'un siclo secondo il peso del tempio. Il siclo contiene venti obbli. La metà del siclo sarà offerta al Signore.	13 Then all those who pass shall give by name: one half shekel, according to the measure at the temple. A shekel has twenty obols. The half part of a shekel shall be offered to the Lord.
14 Quelli che avran luogo nel censo da' venti anni in là, pagheranno il riscatto.	14 He who has been numbered from twenty years and above shall give the price.
15 Il ricco non darà di più del mezzo siclo, e il povero non darà di meno.	15 The rich shall not add to the half shekel, and the poor shall diminish nothing.
16 E preso il denaro offerto da' figliuoli d'Israele, lo depositerai per servigio del tabernacolo della testimonianza, affinché rappelli al Signore la memoria di essi, ed ei si renda propizio alle anime loro.	16 And the money received, which was collected from the sons of Israel, you shall deliver for the uses of the tabernacle of the testimony, so that it may be a memorial of them before the Lord, and he may act favorably toward their souls.”
17 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:	17 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
18 Farai anche una conca di bronzo colla sua base, che serva di lavatoio: e la porrai tra'l tabernacolo della testimonianza, e l'altare. E messavi l'acqua,	18 “You shall also make a bronze washtub with its base to wash in; and you shall place it between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar. And when water has been added,
19 Si laveranno con essa Aronne, e i suoi figliuoli le loro mani, e i piedi,	19 Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and feet in it:
20 Quando saranno per entrare nel tabernacolo del testimonio, e quando dovranno accostarsi all'altare per offerirvi i timiami al Signore,	20 when they enter the tabernacle of the testimony, and when they approach to the altar so as to offer incense to the Lord upon it,
21 Affinché per disgrazia non periscano: questa sarà legge eterna per Aronne, e pe' discendenti, che succederanno.	21 otherwise, they may die. This shall be an everlasting law to him, and to his offspring, throughout their successions.”
22 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:	22 And the Lord spoke to Moses,
23 Prendi tu questi aromi: cinquecento sicli di mirra la prima, e più eccellente; e la metà, cioè dugento cinquanta sicli di cinnamomo, e parimente dugento cinquanta sicli di canna odorosa,	23 saying: “Take for yourself aromatics: of the first and best myrrh, five hundred shekels, and of cinnamon half as much, that is, two hundred and fifty shekels; of sweet flag similarly two hundred and fifty,
24 E cinquecento sicli di cassia a peso del santuario, e la misura d'un hin d'olio d'ulivo:	24 but of cassia, five hundred shekels by the weight of the sanctuary, and of the oil of olives the measure of a hin.
25 E ne formerai l'olio santo per le unzioni, l'unguento composto con arte dal profumiere,	25 And you shall make the holy oil of unction, an ointment composed with the skills of a perfumer,
26 E con esso ungerai il tabernacolo del testimonio, e l'arca del testamento,	26 and with it you shall anoint the tabernacle of the testimony, and the ark of the testament,
27 E la mensa co' suoi vasi, e il candelabro, e le cose, che servono per esso, e l'altare del timiama,	27 and the table with its vessels, and the lampstand and it utensils, the altars of incense
28 E quello degli olocausti, e tutti gli utensili, che servono ad uso di essi.	28 and of holocaust, and all the items that pertain to their rituals.
29 E santificherai tutte queste cose, e diverranno santissime: chiunque le toccherà, sarà santificato.	29 And you shall sanctify everything, and they shall be the Holy of holies. He who will touch them must be sanctified.
30 Ungerai Aronne, e i suoi figliuoli, e li santificherai, affinché esercitino il mio sacerdozio.	30 You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and you shall sanctify them, so that they may exercise the priesthood for me.
31 Dirai pure a' figliuoli d'Israele: Quest'olio della unzione sarà consacrato a me per tutte le generazioni vostre.	31 Likewise, you shall say to the sons of Israel: ‘This oil of unction will be holy to me throughout your generations.
32 Nissun uomo con esso si ungerà, e altro non ne farete di simile composizione, perché questo è santificato, e sarà santo per voi.	32 The flesh of man shall not be anointed from it, and you shall not make any similar compound, for it has been sanctified and it shall be holy to you.
33 Qualsivoglia uomo, che una simile ne formi, e ne dia ad un estraneo, sarà sterminato dal consorzio del popol suo.	33 Whatever man will have composed such a thing and have given it to a stranger, he shall be exterminated from his people.’ ”
34 E il Signore disse a Mosè: Prendi questi aromi, statte, oniche, e galbano di grato odore, e incenso lucidissimo: il tutto in eguali porzioni:	34 And the Lord said to Moses: “Take to yourself aromatics: stacte, and onycha, galbanum of sweet odor, and the clearest frankincense, all these shall be of equal weight.
35 E farai un timiama composto secondo l'arte di profumiere manipolato con diligenza, e purificato, e degnissimo d’esser offerto.	35 And you shall make incense composed with the skills of a perfumer, diligently mixed, and pure, and most worthy of sanctification.
36 E quando avrai ridotto il tutto in minutissima polvere, ne porrai dinanzi al tabernacolo e lei testimonio, nel qual luogo io ti apparirò. Sarà questo per voi santissimo timiama.	36 And when you have crushed all these into a very fine powder, you shall place some of it before the tabernacle of the testimony, in the place where I will appear to you. The Holy of holies shall this incense be to you.
37 Composizione simile non farete per vostro uso, perché è cosa consacrata al Signore.	37 You shall not make such a compound for your own uses, because it is holy to the Lord.
38 Chiunque ne farà una simile per goderne l'odore, perirà di mezzo al suo popolo.	38 Whatever man will have made anything similar, so as to thoroughly enjoy its smell, he shall perish from his people.”
