Isaia 52

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 - Risvegliati, risvegliati, rivesti la tua fortezza, o Sion! Rivesti le vestimenta della tua gloria, o Gerusalemme città del Santo! Perchè non seguiterà più a passare per te l'incirconciso e l'immondo.	1 Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your glorious garments, O Jerusalem, holy city. No longer shall the uncircumcised or the unclean enter you.
2 Scuotiti dalla polvere, alzati e siedi, o Gerusalemme, sciogli le catene del tuo collo, o schiava figlia di Sion!	2 Shake off the dust, ascend to the throne, Jerusalem; Loose the bonds from your neck, O captive daughter Zion!
3 Perchè così dice il Signore: «Per nulla siete stati venduti: e senza denaro sarete ricomprati!».	3 For thus says the LORD: You were sold for nothing, and without money you shall be redeemed.
4 Perchè così dice il Signore Dio: «In antico il mio popolo discese in Egitto per essere ivi trattato come forestiero; Assur lo maltrattò senza motivo.	4 Thus says the Lord GOD: To Egypt in the beginning my people went down, to sojourn there; Assyria, too, oppressed them for nought.
5 Ed ora che sto a fare qui, dice il Signore, poichè il mio popolo è stato portato via senza ragione? Coloro che lo dominano lo trattano iniquamente, dice il Signore, e di continuo tutto il giorno il mio nome è bestemmiato.	5 But now, what am I to do here? says the LORD. My people have been taken away without redress; their rulers make a boast of it, says the LORD; all the day my name is constantly reviled.
6 Per questo il mio popolo conoscerà il mio nome in quel giorno; io stesso, quello che parlava, eccomi, son qui presente!».	6 Therefore on that day my people shall know my renown, that it is I who have foretold it. Here I am!
7 Quanto sono belli sui monti i piedi dell'annunziatore e proclamatore della pace, di colui che annunzia il bene, che predica la salute e dice a Sion: «Il Signore Dio tuo regnerà!».	7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings glad tidings, Announcing peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, and saying to Zion, "Your God is King!"
8 Il grido delle tue sentinelle! Hanno alzato la loro voce, mandano insieme grida di giubilo, perchè vedranno coi loro occhi stessi, quando il Signore restituirà Sion.	8 Hark! Your watchmen raise a cry, together they shout for joy, For they see directly, before their eyes, the LORD restoring Zion.
9 Rallegratevi, ed esultate, o ruine di Gerusalemme, perchè il Signore ha consolato il suo popolo, ha redento Gerusalemme!	9 Break out together in song, O ruins of Jerusalem! For the LORD comforts his people, he redeems Jerusalem.
10 Il Signore ha preparato il braccio suo santo agli occhi di tutte le genti, e tutti i confini della terra vedranno la salvezza del Dio nostro.	10 The LORD has bared his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; All the ends of the earth will behold the salvation of our God.
11 Ritiratevi, ritiratevi, uscite di là, l'immondo nol toccate, uscite di mezzo ad essa, purificatevi, voi che portate i vasi del Signore!	11 Depart, depart, come forth from there, touch nothing unclean! Out from there! Purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the LORD.
12 Perchè voi non uscirete in furia, nè in fuga a precipizio; anzi il Signore vi precederà, e il Dio di Israele raccoglierà le vostre file.	12 Yet not in fearful haste will you come out, nor leave in headlong flight, For the LORD comes before you, and your rear guard is the God of Israel.
13 Ecco che il mio servo riuscirà nell'intento, andrà innalzandosi, e si eleverà molto sublime.	13 See, my servant shall prosper, he shall be raised high and greatly exalted.
14 A quella guisa che stupirono molti su te, così il suo aspetto sarà senza gloria tra gli uomini e la sua apparenza tra i figli degli uomini.	14 Even as many were amazed at him-- so marred was his look beyond that of man, and his appearance beyond that of mortals--
15 Questi aspergerà molte genti; dinanzi a lui i re si chiuderanno la bocca; perchè quelli che non avevano sentito parlare di lui lo vedranno, e quelli che non avevano nulla udito lo contempleranno.	15 So shall he startle many nations, because of him kings shall stand speechless; For those who have not been told shall see, those who have not heard shall ponder it.
