BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Introdussero dunque l’arca di Dio e la collocarono al centro della tenda che Davide aveva piantato per essa; offrirono olocausti e sacrifici di comunione davanti a Dio.	1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.
2 Quando ebbe finito di offrire gli olocausti e i sacrifici di comunione, Davide benedisse il popolo nel nome del Signore.	2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.
3 Distribuì a tutti gli Israeliti, uomini e donne, una pagnotta di pane, una porzione di carne arrostita e una schiacciata di uva passa.	3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.
4 Egli stabilì che alcuni leviti stessero davanti all’arca del Signore come ministri, per celebrare, ringraziare e lodare il Signore, Dio d’Israele.	4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;
5 Erano Asaf il capo, Zaccaria il suo secondo, Ieièl, Semiramòt, Iechièl, Mattitia, Eliàb, Benaià, Obed-Edom e Ieièl, che suonavano strumenti musicali, arpe e cetre; Asaf suonava i cimbali.	5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.
6 I sacerdoti Benaià e Iacazièl con le trombe erano sempre davanti all’arca dell’alleanza di Dio.	6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 Proprio in quel giorno Davide per la prima volta affidò ad Asaf e ai suoi fratelli questa lode al Signore:	7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:
8 «Rendete grazie al Signore e invocate il suo nome, proclamate fra i popoli le sue opere.	8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.
9 A lui cantate, a lui inneggiate, meditate tutte le sue meraviglie.	9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!
10 Gloriatevi del suo santo nome: gioisca il cuore di chi cerca il Signore.	10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!
11 Cercate il Signore e la sua potenza, ricercate sempre il suo volto.	11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!
12 Ricordate le meraviglie che ha compiuto, i suoi prodigi e i giudizi della sua bocca,	12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,
13 voi, stirpe d’Israele, suo servo, figli di Giacobbe, suoi eletti.	13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!
14 È lui il Signore, nostro Dio: su tutta la terra i suoi giudizi.	14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.
15 Ricordate sempre la sua alleanza, parola data per mille generazioni,	15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,
16 l’alleanza stabilita con Abramo e il suo giuramento a Isacco.	16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,
17 L’ha stabilita per Giacobbe come decreto, per Israele come alleanza eterna,	17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,
18 quando disse: “Ti darò il paese di Canaan come parte della vostra eredità”.	18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,
19 Quando erano in piccolo numero, pochi e stranieri in quel luogo,	19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'
20 e se ne andavano di nazione in nazione e da un regno a un altro popolo,	20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,
21 non permise che alcuno li opprimesse e castigò i re per causa loro:	21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,
22 “Non toccate i miei consacrati, non fate alcun male ai miei profeti”.	22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'
23 Cantate al Signore, uomini di tutta la terra, annunciate di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza.	23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!
24 In mezzo alle genti narrate la sua gloria, a tutti i popoli dite le sue meraviglie.	24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!
25 Grande è il Signore e degno di ogni lode, terribile sopra tutti gli dèi.	25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.
26 Tutti gli dèi dei popoli sono un nulla, il Signore invece ha fatto i cieli.	26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,
27 Maestà e onore sono davanti a lui, forza e gioia nella sua dimora.	27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.
28 Date al Signore, o famiglie dei popoli, date al Signore gloria e potenza,	28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,
29 date al Signore la gloria del suo nome. Portate offerte ed entrate al suo cospetto, prostratevi al Signore nel suo atrio santo.	29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,
30 Tremi davanti a lui tutta la terra. È stabile il mondo, non potrà vacillare!	30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,
31 Gioiscano i cieli, esulti la terra, e dicano tra le genti: “Il Signore regna!”.	31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'
32 Risuoni il mare e quanto racchiude, sia in festa la campagna e quanto contiene.	32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,
33 Acclamino gli alberi della foresta davanti al Signore che viene a giudicare la terra.	33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.
34 Rendete grazie al Signore perché è buono, perché il suo amore è per sempre.	34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!
35 Dite: “Salvaci, Dio della nostra salvezza, radunaci e liberaci dalle genti, perché ringraziamo il tuo nome santo: lodarti sarà la nostra gloria.	35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'
36 Benedetto il Signore, Dio d’Israele, da sempre e per sempre”». Tutto il popolo disse: «Amen, lode al Signore».	36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'
37 Quindi Davide lasciò Asaf e i suoi fratelli davanti all’arca dell’alleanza del Signore, perché officiassero continuamente davanti all’arca, secondo il rituale quotidiano;	37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,
38 lasciò Obed-Edom, figlio di Iedutùn, e Cosa, insieme con sessantotto fratelli, come portieri.	38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.
39 Egli incaricò della Dimora del Signore che era sull’altura di Gàbaon il sacerdote Sadoc e i suoi fratelli sacerdoti,	39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon
40 perché offrissero olocausti al Signore sull’altare degli olocausti per sempre, al mattino e alla sera, e compissero quanto è scritto nella legge che il Signore aveva imposto a Israele.	40 to bring burnt offerings to Yahweh unfailingly, morning and evening, on the altar of burnt offering, andto carry out al that is written in the Law of Yahweh laid down for Israel.
41 Con loro erano Eman, Iedutùn e tutti gli altri scelti e designati per nome perché lodassero il Signore, perché il suo amore è per sempre.	41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.
42 Con loro avevano trombe e cimbali per suonare e altri strumenti per il canto divino. I figli di Iedutùn erano incaricati della porta.	42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.
43 Poi tutto il popolo se ne andò, ciascuno a casa sua, e Davide tornò per benedire la sua famiglia.	43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.
