2 Herr, unser Herrscher, wie gewaltig ist dein Name auf der ganzen Erde; über den Himmel breitest du deine Hoheit aus.	2 O LORD, our Lord, how awesome is your name through all the earth! You have set your majesty above the heavens!
3 Aus dem Mund der Kinder und Säuglinge schaffst du dir Lob, deinen Gegnern zum Trotz; deine Feinde und Widersacher müssen verstummen.	3 Out of the mouths of babes and infants you have drawn a defense against your foes, to silence enemy and avenger.
4 Seh ich den Himmel, das Werk deiner Finger, Mond und Sterne, die du befestigt:	4 When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars that you set in place--
5 Was ist der Mensch, dass du an ihn denkst, des Menschen Kind, dass du dich seiner annimmst?	5 What are humans that you are mindful of them, mere mortals that you care for them?
6 Du hast ihn nur wenig geringer gemacht als Gott, hast ihn mit Herrlichkeit und Ehre gekrönt.	6 Yet you have made them little less than a god, crowned them with glory and honor.
7 Du hast ihn als Herrscher eingesetzt über das Werk deiner Hände, hast ihm alles zu Füßen gelegt:	7 You have given them rule over the works of your hands, put all things at their feet:
8 All die Schafe, Ziegen und Rinder und auch die wilden Tiere,	8 All sheep and oxen, even the beasts of the field,
9 die Vögel des Himmels und die Fische im Meer, alles, was auf den Pfaden der Meere dahinzieht.	9 The birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and whatever swims the paths of the seas.
10 Herr, unser Herrscher, wie gewaltig ist dein Name auf der ganzen Erde!	10 O LORD, our Lord, how awesome is your name through all the earth!
