Isaia 66

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Così dice il Signore: «Il cielo è il mio seggio e la terra lo sgabello dei miei piedi: qual è dunque codesta vostra casa che mi edificherete e quale codesto luogo della mia quiete?	1 Thus says Yahweh: With heaven my throne and earth my footstool, what house could you build me,what place for me to rest,
2 Tutte queste cose le fece la mia mano, e tutte esse furono, dice il Signore, ma a chi volgerò il mio sguardo, se non al poverello e all'uomo dall'animo contrito, e che accoglie con tremore le mie parole?	2 when al these things were made by me and al belong to me? - declares Yahweh. But my eyes aredrawn to the person of humbled and contrite spirit, who trembles at my word.
3 V'è chi mi sacrifica un toro, così come uccide un uomo; scanna un montone, così come ammazza un cane; offre una oblazione di rito, come offre sangue di porco; presenta l'incenso a me, come fa ossequio a un idolo. Tutte queste cose essi hanno adottate ugualmente nel loro modo di procedere, e la loro anima si compiace in queste loro abominazioni.	3 Some slaughter a bul , some kill a human being, some sacrifice a lamb, some strangle a dog, somepresent an offering of pig's blood, some burn memorial incense, a revolting blessing; al these people havechosen their own ways and take delight in their disgusting practices.
4 Perciò io ugualmente adotterò il loro procedere beffardo, e farò venire loro addosso quello che temevano; perchè chiamai e non vi fu chi rispondesse, ho parlato e non mi diedero ascolto; e fecero il male sugli occhi miei ed elessero ciò che io non voleva».	4 I too take delight in making fools of them, I shal bring what they most fear down on them because Ihave called and no one would answer, I spoke and no one listened. They have done what I regard as evil, havechosen what displeases me.
5 Udite la parola del Signore, voi che siete ossequienti alla sua parola: «I vostri fratelli, che vi odiano e vi rigettano a causa del mio nome, hanno detto: - Faccia vedere la sua gloria, il Signore, e nella vostra letizia lo vedremo! - Essi però saranno confusi.	5 Listen to the word of Yahweh, you who tremble at his word. Your brothers, who hate and reject youbecause of my name, have said, 'Let Yahweh show his glory, let us witness your joy!' But they will be put toshame.
6 Voce di popolo dalla città, voce dal tempio, voce del Signore, che rende la mercede ai suoi nemici!	6 Listen! An uproar from the city! A voice from the Temple! The voice of Yahweh bringing retribution onhis enemies.
7 Prima di averne le doglie ha dato alla luce; prima del tempo di partorire si sgravò d'un maschio.	7 Before being in labour she has given birth. Before the birth pangs came, she has been delivered of achild.
8 Chi mai udì tal cosa? chi mai vide un fatto simile a questo? Potrebbe forse una terra partorire un popolo in un sol giorno, o nascere a un tratto una nazione, che Sion si sentì gravida, e partorì i suoi figli?	8 Who ever heard of such a thing, who ever saw anything like this? Can a country be born in one day?Can a nation be brought forth al at once? For Zion, scarcely in labour, has brought forth her children!
9 Io che faccio partorire altri, forse che non potrò partorire? dice il Signore, e se ad altri dò modo di generare, io resterò sterile», dice il Signore.	9 Shal I open the womb and not bring to birth? says Yahweh. Shall I, who bring to birth, close the womb?says your God.
10 Congratulatevi con Gerusalemme e rallegratevi con lei, voi tutti che avete affezione per lei; rallegratevi con lei nella comune gioia, voi che piangete per lei.	10 Rejoice with Jerusalem, be glad for her, al you who love her! Rejoice, rejoice with her, al you whomourned her!
11 Così possiate succhiare e saziarvi alla mammella della sua consolazione, spremere a delizia dall'abbondanza della sua gloria.	11 So that you may be suckled and satisfied from her consoling breast, so that you may drink deep withdelight from her generous nipple.
12 Perchè così dice il Signore: «Ecco ch'io volgerò come un fiume di pace; e la gloria delle genti, come un torrente inondante, sopra di essa: voi la popperete, e sul seno di lei sarete portati, e sopra le ginocchia vezzeggiati.	12 For Yahweh says this: Look, I am going to send peace flowing over her like a river, and like a streamin spate the glory of the nations. You wil be suckled, carried on her hip and fondled in her lap.
13 Come uno cui la sua madre accarezza, così voi io consolerò e in Gerusalemme troverete la vostra consolazione».	13 As a mother comforts a child, so I shal comfort you; you wil be comforted in Jerusalem.
14 Voi vedrete, e ne godrà il vostro cuore; e le vostre ossa com'erba rinverdiranno, e si conoscerà la mano del Signore in pro dei suoi servi; ma ai suoi nemici farà sentire il suo sdegno.	14 At the sight your heart wil rejoice, and your limbs regain vigour like the grass. To his servants Yahwehwil reveal his hand, but to his enemies his fury.
15 Perchè, ecco, che il Signore verrà nel fuoco, e saranno come un turbine i suoi occhi, per fare retribuzione col furore della sua indignazione e colla vendetta di un fuoco che avvampa.	15 For see how Yahweh comes in fire, his chariots like the whirlwind, to assuage his anger with burning,his rebukes with flaming fire.
16 Perchè il Signore col fuoco e colla spada farà giustizia di ogni uomo, e quelli che rimarranno colpiti dal Signore saranno in gran numero.	16 For by fire wil Yahweh execute fair judgement, and by his sword, on all people; and Yahweh's victimswil be many.
17 «Coloro che si santificavano e credevano di purificarsi nei giardini e oltre la porta nel penetrale; che mangiavano carne porcina, e altre cose abominevoli e sorci saranno tutti insieme consumati, dice il Signore.	17 As for those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves to enter the gardens, fol owing the one inthe centre, who eat the flesh of pigs, revolting things and rats: their deeds and their thoughts will perish together,declares Yahweh.
18 Le loro opere e i loro pensieri vengo io a raccogliere, con tutte le genti e le lingue, verranno e vedranno la mia gloria.	18 I am coming to gather every nation and every language. They wil come to witness my glory.
19 E porrò in loro un segno e quei che saranno salvati li manderò alle genti d'oltre mare, in Africa, in Lidia ai tiratori d'arco, in Italia, in Grecia, alle isole lontane, a coloro che non hanno udito parlare di me e non videro la mia gloria; e annunceranno alle genti la mia gloria.	19 I shal give them a sign and send some of their survivors to the nations: to Tarshish, Put, Lud,Meshech, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coasts and islands that have never heard of me or seen my glory.They wil proclaim my glory to the nations,
20 E condurranno tutti i vostri fratelli di tutte le nazioni in dono al Signore, su cavalli, su cocchi, nelle lettighe, su muli e sopra carrozze al monte mio santo di Gerusalemme, dice il Signore, a quel modo che i figli d'Israele recano l'offerta in mondo vaso alla casa del Signore.	20 and from al the nations they wil bring al your brothers as an offering to Yahweh, on horses, inchariots, in litters, on mules and on camels, to my holy mountain, Jerusalem, Yahweh says, like Israelitesbringing offerings in clean vessels to Yahweh's house.
21 E da essi prenderò sacerdoti e leviti, dice il Signore.	21 And some of them I shal make into priests and Levites, Yahweh says.
22 Perchè, come i nuovi cieli e la nuova terra che faccio, resteranno alla mia presenza, così resterà la vostra semenza e il vostro nome.	22 For as the new heavens and the new earth I am making wil endure before me, declares Yahweh, sowil your race and your name endure.
23 Mese per mese, sabato per sabato ognuno verrà a prostrarsi dinanzi alla mia faccia, dice il Signore.	23 From New Moon to New Moon, from Sabbath to Sabbath, al humanity wil come and bow in mypresence, Yahweh says.
24 E usciranno, e vedranno i cadaveri di coloro che hanno prevaricato contro di me, e il loro verme non morrà, e il loro fuoco non si estinguerà, fino a nauseare la vista ad ogni uomo».	24 And on their way out they wil see the corpses of those who rebelled against me; for their worm wilnever die nor their fire be put out, and they wil be held in horror by al humanity.
