1 Gesù riprese a parlare loro con parabole e disse:	1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 «Il regno dei cieli è simile a un re, che fece una festa di nozze per suo figlio.	2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Egli mandò i suoi servi a chiamare gli invitati alle nozze, ma questi non volevano venire.	3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Mandò di nuovo altri servi con quest’ordine: “Dite agli invitati: Ecco, ho preparato il mio pranzo; i miei buoi e gli animali ingrassati sono già uccisi e tutto è pronto; venite alle nozze!”.	4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Ma quelli non se ne curarono e andarono chi al proprio campo, chi ai propri affari;	5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 altri poi presero i suoi servi, li insultarono e li uccisero.	6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Allora il re si indignò: mandò le sue truppe, fece uccidere quegli assassini e diede alle fiamme la loro città.	7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Poi disse ai suoi servi: “La festa di nozze è pronta, ma gli invitati non erano degni;	8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 andate ora ai crocicchi delle strade e tutti quelli che troverete, chiamateli alle nozze”.	9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Usciti per le strade, quei servi radunarono tutti quelli che trovarono, cattivi e buoni, e la sala delle nozze si riempì di commensali.	10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Il re entrò per vedere i commensali e lì scorse un uomo che non indossava l’abito nuziale.	11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Gli disse: “Amico, come mai sei entrato qui senza l’abito nuziale?”. Quello ammutolì.	12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Allora il re ordinò ai servi: “Legatelo mani e piedi e gettatelo fuori nelle tenebre; là sarà pianto e stridore di denti”.	13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Perché molti sono chiamati, ma pochi eletti».	14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Allora i farisei se ne andarono e tennero consiglio per vedere come coglierlo in fallo nei suoi discorsi.	15 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men?s person;
16 Mandarono dunque da lui i propri discepoli, con gli erodiani, a dirgli: «Maestro, sappiamo che sei veritiero e insegni la via di Dio secondo verità. Tu non hai soggezione di alcuno, perché non guardi in faccia a nessuno.	16 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
17 Dunque, di’ a noi il tuo parere: è lecito, o no, pagare il tributo a Cesare?».	17 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
18 Ma Gesù, conoscendo la loro malizia, rispose: «Ipocriti, perché volete mettermi alla prova?	18 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
19 Mostratemi la moneta del tributo». Ed essi gli presentarono un denaro.	19 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
20 Egli domandò loro: «Questa immagine e l’iscrizione, di chi sono?».	20 They say to him, Caesar?s. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar?s to Caesar, and what is God?s to God.
21 Gli risposero: «Di Cesare». Allora disse loro: «Rendete dunque a Cesare quello che è di Cesare e a Dio quello che è di Dio».	21 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
22 A queste parole rimasero meravigliati, lo lasciarono e se ne andarono.	22 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
23 In quello stesso giorno vennero da lui alcuni sadducei – i quali dicono che non c’è risurrezione – e lo interrogarono:	23 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
24 «Maestro, Mosè disse: Se uno muore senza figli, suo fratello ne sposerà la moglie e darà una discendenza al proprio fratello.	24 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
25 Ora, c’erano tra noi sette fratelli; il primo, appena sposato, morì e, non avendo discendenza, lasciò la moglie a suo fratello.	25 And last of all the woman also died.
26 Così anche il secondo, e il terzo, fino al settimo.	26 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
27 Alla fine, dopo tutti, morì la donna.	27 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
28 Alla risurrezione, dunque, di quale dei sette lei sarà moglie? Poiché tutti l’hanno avuta in moglie».	28 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
29 E Gesù rispose loro: «Vi ingannate, perché non conoscete le Scritture e neppure la potenza di Dio.	29 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
30 Alla risurrezione infatti non si prende né moglie né marito, ma si è come angeli nel cielo.	30 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
31 Quanto poi alla risurrezione dei morti, non avete letto quello che vi è stato detto da Dio:	31 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
32 Io sono il Dio di Abramo, il Dio di Isacco e il Dio di Giacobbe? Non è il Dio dei morti, ma dei viventi!».	32 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
33 La folla, udendo ciò, era stupita dal suo insegnamento.	33 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
34 Allora i farisei, avendo udito che egli aveva chiuso la bocca ai sadducei, si riunirono insieme	34 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
35 e uno di loro, un dottore della Legge, lo interrogò per metterlo alla prova:	35 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
36 «Maestro, nella Legge, qual è il grande comandamento?».	36 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
37 Gli rispose: «Amerai il Signore tuo Dio con tutto il tuo cuore, con tutta la tua anima e con tutta la tua mente.	37 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
38 Questo è il grande e primo comandamento.	38 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
39 Il secondo poi è simile a quello: Amerai il tuo prossimo come te stesso.	39 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
40 Da questi due comandamenti dipendono tutta la Legge e i Profeti».	40 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
41 Mentre i farisei erano riuniti insieme, Gesù chiese loro:	41 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
42 «Che cosa pensate del Cristo? Di chi è figlio?». Gli risposero: «Di Davide».	42 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
43 Disse loro: «Come mai allora Davide, mosso dallo Spirito, lo chiama Signore, dicendo:	43 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
44 Disse il Signore al mio Signore: Siedi alla mia destra finché io ponga i tuoi nemici sotto i tuoi piedi?	44 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
45 Se dunque Davide lo chiama Signore, come può essere suo figlio?».
46 Nessuno era in grado di rispondergli e, da quel giorno, nessuno osò più interrogarlo.
