1 'Di Davide. Salmo.' Amore e giustizia voglio cantare, voglio cantare inni a te, o Signore.	1 A psalm of David. I sing of love and justice; to you, LORD, I sing praise.
2 Agirò con saggezza nella via dell'innocenza: quando verrai a me? Camminerò con cuore integro, dentro la mia casa.	2 I follow the way of integrity; when will you come to me? I act with integrity of heart within my royal court.
3 Non sopporterò davanti ai miei occhi azioni malvage; detesto chi fa il male, non mi sarà vicino.	3 I do not allow into my presence anyone who speaks perversely. Whoever acts shamefully I hate; no such person can be my friend.
4 Lontano da me il cuore perverso, il malvagio non lo voglio conoscere.	4 I shun the devious of heart; the wicked I do not tolerate.
5 Chi calunnia in segreto il suo prossimo io lo farò perire; chi ha occhi altezzosi e cuore superbo non lo potrò sopportare.	5 Whoever slanders another in secret I reduce to silence. Haughty eyes and arrogant hearts I cannot endure.
6 I miei occhi sono rivolti ai fedeli del paese perché restino a me vicino: chi cammina per la via integra sarà mio servitore.	6 I look to the faithful of the land; they alone can be my companions. Those who follow the way of integrity, they alone can enter my service.
7 Non abiterà nella mia casa, chi agisce con inganno, chi dice menzogne non starà alla mia presenza.	7 No one who practices deceit can hold a post in my court. No one who speaks falsely can be among my advisors.
8 Sterminerò ogni mattino tutti gli empi del paese, per estirpare dalla città del Signore quanti operano il male.	8 Each morning I clear the wicked from the land, and rid the LORD'S city of all evildoers.
