1 Alleluia! Lodate il nome di Jahvè, lodate, servitori di Jahvè	1 Al eluia! Praise the name of Yahweh, you who serve Yahweh, praise him,
2 che state nella casa di Jahvè, negli atri della casa del nostro Dio.	2 serving in the house of Yahweh, in the courts of the house of our God.
3 Lodate Jah, perché buono è Jahvè; inneggiate al suo nome poiché è soave.	3 Praise Yahweh, for Yahweh is good, make music for his name -- it brings joy-
4 Perché Giacobbe si scelse Jah, Israele come suo possesso.	4 for Yahweh has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own possession.
5 lo so bene che grande è Jahvè e il nostro Signore su tutti gli dèi.	5 For I know that Yahweh is great, our Lord is above al gods.
6 Tutto ciò che volle Jahvè creò nei cieli e sulla terra, nei mari e in tutti gli abissi.	6 Yahweh does whatever he pleases in heaven, on earth, in the waters and al the depths.
7 Fa salire le nubi dalle estremità della terra, converte le folgori in pioggia, trae il vento dai suoi tesori.	7 He summons up clouds from the borders of earth, sends rain with lightning-flashes, and brings thewind out of his storehouse.
8 Il quale percosse i primogeniti d’Egitto dall’uomo fino al Bestia.	8 He struck the first-born in Egypt, man and beast alike,
9 Mandò segni e prodigi in mezzo a te, Egitto; contro il Faraone e contro tutti i suoi servitori.	9 he sent signs and wonders into the heart of Egypt, against Pharaoh and al his officials.
10 Il quale percosse molte genti e trafisse re potenti.	10 He struck down many nations, he slaughtered mighty kings,
11 Sikhon re degli Amorrei e Og re di Bashan e tutti i regni di Canaan.	11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and al the kingdoms of Canaan.
12 E diede la loro terra in eredità, in eredità a Israele suo popolo.	12 He gave their land as a birthright, a birthright to his people Israel.

17 Hanno orecchi ma non odono, non c’è fiato nella loro bocca.	17 have ears but hear nothing, and they have no breath in their mouths.
18 Come essi, siano i loro artefici, tutti quanti confidano in essi.	18 Their makers wil end up like them, everyone who relies on them.
19 O casa di Israele, benedite Jahvè; o casa di Aronne, benedite Jahvè!	19 House of Israel, bless Yahweh, House of Aaron, bless Yahweh,
20 O casa di Levi, benedite Jahvè; voi che temete Jahvè, benedite Jahvè!	20 House of Levi, bless Yahweh, you who fear Yahweh, bless Yahweh.
21 Benedetto Jahvè da Sion, che abita in Gerusalemme. Alleluia!	21 Blessed be Yahweh from Zion, he who dwel s in Jerusalem!
