Salmos 139

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Del maestro de coro. De David. Salmo. Yahveh, tú me escrutas y conoces;	1 [For the choirmaster Of David Psalm] Yahweh, you examine me and know me,
2 sabes cuándo me siento y cuándo me levanto, mi pensamiento calas desde lejos;	2 you know when I sit, when I rise, you understand my thoughts from afar.
3 esté yo en camino o acostado, tú lo adviertes, familiares te son todas mis sendas.	3 You watch when I walk or lie down, you know every detail of my conduct.
4 Que no está aún en mi lengua la palabra, y ya tú, Yahveh, la conoces entera;	4 A word is not yet on my tongue before you, Yahweh, know all about it.
5 me aprietas por detrás y por delante, y tienes puesta sobre mí tu mano.	5 You fence me in, behind and in front, you have laid your hand upon me.
6 Ciencia es misteriosa para mí, harto alta, no puedo alcanzarla.	6 Such amazing knowledge is beyond me, a height to which I cannot attain.
7 ¿A dónde iré yo lejos de tu espíritu, a dónde de tu rostro podré huir?	7 Where shall I go to escape your spirit? Where shall I flee from your presence?
8 Si hasta los cielos subo, allí estás tú, si en el seol me acuesto, allí te encuentras.	8 If I scale the heavens you are there, if I lie flat in Sheol, there you are.
9 Si tomo las alas de la aurora, si voy a parar a lo último del mar,	9 If I speed away on the wings of the dawn, if I dwel beyond the ocean,
10 también allí tu mano me conduce, tu diestra me aprehende.	10 even there your hand will be guiding me, your right hand holding me fast.
11 Aunque diga: «¡Me cubra al menos la tiniebla, y la noche sea en torno a mí un ceñidor,	11 I will say, 'Let the darkness cover me, and the night wrap itself around me,'
12 ni la misma tiniebla es tenebrosa para ti, y la noche es luminosa como el día.	12 even darkness to you is not dark, and night is as clear as the day.
13 Porque tú mis riñones has formado, me has tejido en el vientre de mi madre;	13 You created my inmost self, knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 yo te doy gracias por tantas maravillas: prodigio soy, prodigios son tus obras. Mi alma conocías cabalmente,	14 For so many marvels I thank you; a wonder am I, and al your works are wonders. You knew methrough and through,
15 y mis huesos no se te ocultaban, cuando era yo formado en lo secreto, tejido en las honduras de la tierra.	15 my being held no secrets from you, when I was being formed in secret, textured in the depths of theearth.
16 Mi embrión tus ojos lo veían; en tu libro están inscritos todos los días que han sido señalados, sin que aún exista uno solo de ellos.	16 Your eyes could see my embryo. In your book all my days were inscribed, every one that was fixedis there.
17 Mas para mí ¡qué arduos son tus pensamientos, oh, Dios, qué incontable su suma!	17 How hard for me to grasp your thoughts, how many, God, there are!
18 ¡Son más, si los recuento, que la arena, y al terminar, todavía estoy contigo!	18 If I count them, they are more than the grains of sand; if I come to an end, I am stil with you.
19 ¡Ah, si al impío, oh Dios, mataras, si los hombres sanguinarios se apartaran de mí!	19 If only, God, you would kil the wicked!-Men of violence, keep away from me!-
20 Ellos que hablan de ti dolosamente, tus adversarios que se alzan en vano.	20 those who speak blasphemously about you, and take no account of your thoughts.
21 ¿No odio, Yahveh, a quienes te odian? ¿No me asquean los que se alzan contra ti?	21 Yahweh, do I not hate those who hate you, and loathe those who defy you?
22 Con odio colmado los odio, son para mí enemigos.	22 My hate for them has no limits, I regard them as my own enemies.
23 Sóndame, oh Dios, mi corazón conoce, pruébame, conoce mis desvelos; 24 mira no haya en mí camino de dolor, y llévame por el camino eterno.	23 God, examine me and know my heart, test me and know my concerns.
	24 Make sure that I am not on my way to ruin, and guide me on the road of eternity.
