2 Non sarà sottomessa a Dio l'anima mia? Da lui dipende la mia salvezza;	2 Will my soul not be subject to God? For from him is my salvation.
3 Egli è il mio Dio, il mio salvatore, la mia difesa: non sarò più agitato.	3 Yes, he himself is my God and my salvation. He is my supporter; I will be moved no more.
4 Fino a quando vi avventerete contro un uomo? Cercate tutti insieme di distruggerlo, come una parete che casca e un muro che crolla?	4 How is it that you rush against a man? Every one of you puts to death, as if you were pulling down a ruined wall, leaning over and falling apart.
5 Essi cercano di spogliarmi della mia dignità, e io corro senza potermi dissetare: benedicono con la bocca, maledicono col cuore.	5 So, truly, they intended to reject my price. I ran in thirst. They blessed with their mouth and cursed with their heart.
6 Ma tu, anima mia, sta sottomessa a Dio, perchè da lui viene la mia fiducia;	6 Yet, truly, my soul will be subject to God. For from him is my patience.
7 E' lui il mio Dio, il mio salvatore; la mia difesa: non sarò smosso.	7 For he is my God and my Savior. He is my helper; I will not be expelled.
8 E' in Dio la mia, salvezza, la mia gloria: Egli è il Dio del mio aiuto: è riposta in Dio la mia speranza.	8 In God is my salvation and my glory. He is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.
9 Sperate in lui, voi tutti che componete il popolo, effondete davanti a lui i vostri cuori: Dio è il nostro aiuto in eterno.	9 All peoples gathered together: trust in him. Pour out your hearts in his sight. God is our helper for eternity.
10 Ma i figli degli uomini son vani, sono bugiardi i figli degli uomini sulle bilance, in modo da ingannare, anche tutti insieme, a causa della vanità.	10 So, truly, the sons of men are untrustworthy. The sons of men are liars in the scales, so that, by emptiness, they may deceive among themselves.
11 Guardatevi dallo sperare nell'iniquità, e cercate di non desiderar le rapine: se le vostre ricchezze si moltiplicano, non vi ponete il cuore.	11 Do not trust in iniquity, and do not desire plunder. If riches flow toward you, do not be willing to set your heart on them.
12 Dio ha parlato una volta: ho sentite queste due cose: che di Dio è la potenza,	12 God has spoken once. I have heard two things: that power belongs to God,
13 E che tua, o Signore, è la misericordia; chè tu rendi a ciascuno secondo le sue opere.	13 and that mercy belongs to you, O Lord. For you will repay each one according to his works.
