2 Abbi pietà di me, o Dio, abbi pietà di me: che in te confida l'anima mia. Mi rifugio sotto l'ombra delle tue ali, finché non sia passato il male.	2 Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me. For my soul trusts in you. And I will hope in the shadow of your wings, until iniquity passes away.
3 Alzo le grida all'Altissimo Dio, a Dio, mio benefattore.	3 I will cry out to God Most High, to God who has been kind to me.
4 Manderà dal cielo a liberarmi, coprirà di vergogna i miei oppressori. Dio manderà la sua misericordia e la sua fedeltà.	4 He sent from heaven and freed me. He has surrendered into disgrace those who trampled me. God has sent his mercy and his truth.
5 E salverà l'anima mia di mezzo ai leoncelli. Dormo agitato. I figli degli uomini! I loro denti son lance e saette, la loro lingua è affilata spada.	5 And he has rescued my soul from the midst of the young lions. I slept troubled. The sons of men: their teeth are weapons and arrows, and their tongue is a sharp sword.
6 Sii tu esaltato sopra i cieli, o Dio, e brilli sopra tutta la terra la tua gloria.	6 Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and your glory above all the earth.
7 Tesero un laccio ai miei piedi, vi fecero piegare l'anima mia. Scavaron davanti a me una fossa, e ci son caduti dentro.	7 They prepared a snare for my feet, and they bowed down my soul. They dug a pit before my face, yet they have fallen into it.
8 Il mio cuore è preparato, o Dio, il mio cuore è preparato: canterò e salmeggerò.	8 My heart is prepared, O God, my heart is prepared. I will sing, and I will compose a psalm.
9 Sorgi, o mia gloria, sorgi, o arpa, o cetra: vo' levarmi all'aurora.	9 Rise up, my glory. Rise up, psaltery and harp. I will arise in early morning.
10 Vo celebrarti fra i popoli, o Signore, inneggiare a te fra le nazioni;	10 I will confess to you, O Lord, among the peoples. I will compose a psalm to you among the nations.
11 Perchè si innalza fino ai cieli la tua misericordia, e la tua fedeltà fino alle nubi.	11 For your mercy has been magnified, even to the heavens, and your truth, even to the clouds.
12 Sii esaltato sopra i cieli, o Dio, e brilli su tutta la terra la tua gloria.	12 Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and your glory above all the earth.
