1 (Salmo. Cantico per la dedicazione della casa. Di David).	1 A psalm for David, at the finishing of the tabernacle. Bring to the Lord, O ye children of God: bring to the Lord the offspring of rams.
2 Ti esalto, o Signore, perchè m'hai protetto, e non hai permesso ai miei nemici di rallegrarsi a mio riguardo.	2 Bring to the Lord glory and honour: bring to the Lord glory to his name: adore ye the Lord in his holy court.
3 Signore Dio mio, a te alzai il mio grido, e tu mi hai guarito.	3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of majesty hath thundered, The Lord is upon many waters.
4 Signore, tu hai fatto uscire l'anima mia dal soggiorno dei morti, mi hai tolto da quelli che scendevano nella fossa.	4 The voice of the Lord is in power; the voice of the Lord in magnificence.
5 Inneggiate al Signore, o santi, celebrate il ricordo della sua santità,	5 The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars: yea, the Lord shall break the cedars of Libanus.
6 Perchè nel suo sdegno c'è il castigo, e nella sua benevolenza la vita. La sera verrà a noi il pianto, la mattina la gioia.	6 And shall reduce them to pieces, as a calf of Libanus, and as the beloved son of unicorns.
7 Io dissi nella mia prosperità: « Non vacillerò in eterno ».	7 The voice of the Lord divideth the flame of fire:
8 E tu, o Signore, colla tua benevolenza, confermasti il vigore della mia floridezza. Ma poi rivolgesti da me la tua faccia, ed io rimasi sconcertato.	8 The voice of the Lord shaketh the desert: and the Lord shall shake the desert of Cades.
9 A te, o Signore, alzo il mio grido, al mio Dio innalzo le mie preghiere.	9 The voice of the Lord prepareth the stags: and he will discover the thick woods: and in his temple all shall speak his glory.
10 Qual vantaggio dal sangue mio, dal mio scendere nel sepolcro? Potrà forse cantar le tue lodi la polvere, o annunziare la tua verità?	10 The Lord maketh the hood to dwell: and the Lord shall sit king for ever. The Lord will give strength to his people: the Lord will bless his people with peace.
11 Il Signore mi ha ascoltato ed ha avuto pietà di me, il Signore è venuto in mio soccorso.
12 Tu mi hai cangiato il mio pianto in tripudio, hai lacerato il mio sacco e mi hai circondato d'allegrezza,
13 Affinchè la mia gloria ti canti, ed io non sia più nel tormento. Signore mio Dio, ti canterò in eterno.
