Isaia 65

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Mi hanno cercato quelli che prima non dimandavano di me; mi hanno trovati quelli, che non mi cercavano. Ho detto: «Eccomi, eccomi», a gente che non invocava il mio nome.	1 I have let myself be approached by those who did not consult me, I have let myself be found by thosewho did not seek me. I said, 'Here I am, here I am!' to a nation that did not invoke my name.
2 Ho steso le mie mani tutto il dì al popolo incredulo, che cammina per una strada non buona, dietro ai suoi intendimenti.	2 Each day I stretched out my hands to a rebel ious people who fol ow a way which is not good, as thefancy takes them;
3 Ad un popolo che in faccia mia mi provoca continuamente a sdegno, che immolano le loro vittime nei giardini e ardono le offerte sopra i mattoni.	3 a people constantly provoking me to my face by sacrificing in gardens, burning incense on bricks,
4 Che fanno dimora nei sepolcri e dormono nei templi degli idoli, che mangiano carne suina e hanno nei loro vasi brodo profano.	4 living in tombs, spending the night in dark corners, eating the meat of pigs, putting unclean foods ontheir plates.
5 Che dicono: «Scostati da me, non appressarti, perchè tu sei immondo!». Costoro sono un fumo che inacerbisce, un fuoco che attizza ogni dì più il mio sdegno.	5 'Keep your distance,' they say, 'do not touch me, lest my sanctity come near you!' Such words are likestifling smoke to me, an ever-burning fire.
6 Ecco è scritto nel mio cospetto: «Non tacerò, ma renderò, ripagherò ad essi in seno la loro mercede»;	6 Look, it is inscribed before me: I shal not be silent until I have repaid them, repaid them in ful ,
7 la mercede delle iniquità vostre e insieme delle iniquità dei vostri padri, dice il Signore, che sacrificarono sopra i monti, e sopra i colli mi oltraggiarono, rimisurerò ad essi in seno prima la mercede dell'opera loro.	7 punished your guilt and your ancestors' guilt together, Yahweh declares. For having burnt incense onthe mountains and insulted me on the hil s, I shal pay them back in ful for what they have done.
8 Così dice il Signore: «Come quando in un grappolo si trova un granello buono, si dice: "Non lasciare che si perda, perchè c'è della grazia di Dio"; così farò io per amor dei miei servi, non lascerò che si perda il tutto.	8 Yahweh says this: As when a bunch of grapes is found stil to have juice in it, people say, 'Do notdestroy it, for it contains a blessing,' so I shall act for my servants' sake, I shal not destroy them all.
9 E trarrò da Giacobbe una progenie, e da Giuda chi possederà i miei monti; e l'avranno in retaggio i miei eletti, e vi abiteranno i miei servi.	9 I shal produce descendants from Jacob and heirs to my mountains from Judah, my chosen ones wilown them and my servants wil live there.
10 E le campagne saranno ovili di pecore, e la valle di Acor mandre di armenti per il mio popolo, che mi ha cercato.	10 Sharon wil be a pasture for flocks, the Val ey of Achor a feeding ground for cattle, for those of mypeople who have sought me.
11 Ma voi, che avete abbandonato il Signore, che avete dimenticato il mio santo monte, e apparecchiate la mensa alla Fortuna e sopra vi fate le libazioni,	11 But as for those of you who abandon Yahweh, who forget my holy mountain, who lay the table forGad, who fil cups of mixed wine for Meni,
12 vi conterò colla spada e cadrete tutti nella strage; perchè vi ho chiamati e non avete risposto, ho parlato e non mi avete dato ascolto, e invece facevate il male sotto gli occhi miei, e vi compiacevate di ciò ch'io non voleva».	12 you I shal destine to the sword and al of you wil stoop to be slaughtered, because I cal ed and youwould not answer, I spoke and you would not listen; you have done what I consider evil, you chose to do whatdispleases me.
13 Per questo il Signore Dio dice così: «Ecco che i servi miei mangeranno, e voi patirete la fame; ecco che i servi miei berranno, e voi soffrirete la sete.	13 Therefore Lord Yahweh says this: You will see my servants eating while you go hungry; you will seemy servants drinking while you go thirsty; you wil see my servants rejoicing while you are put to shame;
14 Ecco che i miei servi saranno nella letizia e voi nella confusione; ecco che i miei servi canteranno per la gioia del cuore, e voi griderete pel cordoglio, e nella costernazione del vostro spirito urlerete.	14 you will hear my servants shouting for joy of heart, while you shriek for sorrow of heart and howl with abroken spirit.
15 E lascerete il vostro nome all'esecrazione dei miei eletti, e il Signore Dio ti farà morire, e i servi suoi chiamerà con altro nome.	15 And you wil leave your name behind as a curse for my chosen ones, 'May Lord Yahweh strike youdead!' But to his servants he wil give another name.
16 Nel quale, chi è benedetto sopra la terra, sarà benedetto nel Dio fedele; e chi giurerà sopra la terra, giurerà nel Dio fedele; e le tribolazioni passate saranno cadute nella dimenticanza, perchè sono sparite dagli occhi miei.	16 Whoever blesses himself on earth wil bless himself by the God of truth, and whoever swears an oathon earth will swear by the God of truth, for past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes.
17 Ecco che io creo nuovi cieli e nuova terra; e le cose di prima non verranno più nella memoria, nè più torneranno in mente.	17 For look, I am going to create new heavens and a new earth, and the past will not be rememberedand will come no more to mind.
18 Ma godrete e gioirete eternamente di quelle cose ch'io creo; perchè ecco ch'io creo una Gerusalemme gaudiosa, e il popolo di lei giubilante.	18 Rather be joyful, be glad for ever at what I am creating, for look, I am creating Jerusalem to be 'Joy'and my people to be 'Gladness'.
19 Ed io esulterò per Gerusalemme, e godrò nel popolo mio, nè in lui si udirà più oltre voce di pianto e di lamento.	19 I shal be joyful in Jerusalem and I shal rejoice in my people. No more will the sound of weeping beheard there, nor the sound of a shriek;
20 Non vi sarà più fanciullo di tenera età, nè vecchio che non abbia compiti i giorni suoi; perchè il giovine morrà di cento anni, e il peccatore a cento anni sarà maledetto.	20 never again wil there be an infant there who lives only a few days, nor an old man who does not runhis ful course; for the youngest wil die at a hundred, and at a hundred the sinner wil be accursed.
21 E fabbricheranno case e le abiteranno e pianteranno vigne e ne mangeranno il frutto.	21 They will build houses and live in them, they wil plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 Non avverrà che essi edifichino, e un altro abiti; che essi piantino, e un altro mangi; ma l'età del mio popolo sarà come quella d'un albero e le opere delle loro mani saranno di lunga durata.	22 They will not build for others to live in, or plant for others to eat; for the days of my people wil be likethe days of a tree, and my chosen ones wil themselves use what they have made.
23 I miei eletti non si affaticheranno invano, e non genereranno con trepidazione, perchè essi sono seme benedetto del Signore, e avranno seco i loro discendenti.	23 They will not toil in vain, nor bear children destined to disaster, for they are the race of Yahweh'sblessed ones and so are their offspring.
24 E prima ancora che invochino, io esaudirò; non avran finito di parlare, ch'io avrò udito.	24 Thus, before they cal I shal answer, before they stop speaking I shal have heard.
25 Il lupo e l'agnello pascoleranno insieme; il leone e il bue mangeranno paglia; ed il cibo del serpente sarà la polvere; non faran danno e non faran del male in tutto il mio monte santo», dice il Signore.	25 The wolf and the young lamb wil feed together, the lion wil eat hay like the ox, and dust be theserpent's food. No hurt, no harm wil be done on al my holy mountain, Yahweh says.
