Isaia 39

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - In quel tempo Merodac-Baladan, figlio di Baladan re di Babilonia, mandò messaggi e donativi a Ezechia; perchè aveva udito che era stato ammalato ed era guarito.	1 At that time, the king of Babylon, Merodach-Baladan son of Baladan, sent letters and a gift to Hezekiah,for he had heard of his illness and his recovery.
2 Ed Ezechia si rallegrò coi messi e fece vedere loro le stanze degli aromi e dell'argento e dell'oro e dei profumi e degli unguenti preziosi; e tutti i depositi della sua suppellettile e tutto quello che si trovava nei suoi tesori. Non vi fu nulla in casa sua e in tutto il suo dominio che non facesse vedere a loro.	2 Hezekiah was delighted at this and showed the ambassadors his entire treasury, the silver, gold,spices, precious oil, his armoury too, and everything to be seen in his storehouses. There was nothing in hispalace or in his whole domain that Hezekiah did not show them.
3 E Isaia profeta si recò dal re Ezechia e gli disse: «Che cosa hanno detto questi uomini e donde sono venuti a te?». Ezechia rispose: «Vennero a me da paese lontano, da Babilonia».	3 The prophet Isaiah then came to King Hezekiah and asked him, 'What have these men said, and wherehave they come to you from?' Hezekiah answered, 'They have come from a distant country, from Babylon.'
4 E quegli: «Che cosa hanno essi visto in casa tua?». Disse Ezechia: «Tutto quello che c'era in casa mia l'hanno visto; non vi fu nulla nei miei tesori ch'io non abbia loro mostrato».	4 Isaiah said, 'What have they seen in your palace?' 'They have seen everything in my palace,' Hezekiahanswered. 'There is nothing in my storehouses that I have not shown them.'
5 Allora Isaia disse a Ezechia: «Ascolta la parola del Signore degli eserciti:	5 Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, 'Listen to the word of Yahweh Sabaoth,
6 - Ecco che verrà tempo, e tutte le cose che sono in casa tua, e che hanno accumulate i padri tuoi fino al dì d'oggi, saranno portate via a Babilonia, e più nulla rimarrà, dice il Signore.	6 "The days are coming when everything in your palace, everything that your ancestors have amasseduntil now, wil be carried off to Babylon. Not a thing wil be left," Yahweh says.
7 E prenderanno dei tuoi figli che saranno usciti da te, tuoi discendenti, e saranno eunuchi nel palazzo del re di Babilonia -».	7 "Sons sprung from you, sons begotten by you, will be abducted to be eunuchs in the palace of the kingof Babylon." '
8 E disse Ezechia ad Isaia: «Buona è la parola proferita dal Signore». Poi soggiunse: «Purchè sia pace e avveramento delle sue promesse nei giorni miei».	8 Hezekiah said to Isaiah, 'This word of Yahweh that you announce is reassuring,' for he was thinking,'There is going to be peace and security during my lifetime.'
